    In terms of price, it competes with two-wheelers from a 350cc bike to an electric scooter!

    Ola Electric recently launched its electric bike, the Roadster X+. It has been priced between Rs 1,04,999 and Rs 1,54,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru including PM E-Drive Subsidy), introductory till 11th February 2025. After that, the prices will increase by Rs 15,000, from Rs 1,19,999 to Rs 1,69,999. It comes in two variants, depending on the battery capacity: 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh, with a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 252km and 501km, respectively. Both have a 11kW mid-mounted motor, with top speed of 125kmph. It gets features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, and a reverse mode. Here are some alternatives for the same price:

    Royal Enfield Hunter 350

    The Hunter 350 is a classic styled roadster, with a 349cc engine. It has a lower seat height, kerb weight, and price as compared to other Royal Enfield bikes. The Hunter is for those who want a bike to commute around the city on a daily basis and go for some occasional weekend rides. The price of the Hunter ranges between Rs 1,49,900 to Rs 1,74,655 (ex-showroom).

    TVS Raider

    The TVS Raider 125 has a sporty design and stands out in its segment. It has a 125cc engine, which offers a balance of both performance and mileage. The Raider is suitable for daily use, with its comfortable suspension and features like a TFT screen, riding modes, and more. The Raider is priced between Rs 85,010 and Rs 1,04,471 (ex-showroom).

    Honda Unicorn

    The Unicorn is priced at Rs 1,19,481 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in a single variant. The 2025 model comes with updated features like an LED headlight, digital instrument console, gear position and Eco mode indicators, a USB Type-C charging port, a side-stand engine cut-off sensor, and single-channel ABS. It is powered by Honda’s 162.71cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 13.18PS and 14.58Nm, paired to a five-speed gearbox and has an ARAI-claimed mileage of 60kmpl.

    Ather 450S

    The Ather 450S is priced at Rs 1,29,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru) and it has a 2.9kWh battery with an IDC range of 122km. It delivers 5.4kW and 22Nm, achieving 0-40kmph in 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 90 kmph. The scooter comes with a 7-inch LCD screen, four ride modes, Ather app connectivity, Park Assist, Guide Me Home headlights, and Amazon Alexa integration. The Pro Pack, priced at Rs 14,000, adds features like turn-by-turn navigation and AutoHold.

    Revolt RV400

    The Revolt RV400 is priced at Rs 1,49,950 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). It is powered by a 72V, 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery and offers a claimed range of 160km in Eco mode, 100km in Normal mode, and 80km in Sports mode, with a top speed of 85kmph. Charging takes 4 hours and 30 minutes with a standard charger, while an optional fast charger completes it in 90 minutes. The bike features an LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity via the Revolt app, keyless operation, geofencing, and CBS (Combi-Braking System).

      I choose Honda unicorn because of refined engine. Comfortable wide seat, good suspension, good mileage. And it's reputation in market. KALA GHODA is not a just bike it's emotion. Spare parts easily available. The ride is very smooth and comfortable. For daily travelling in city is very comfortable. Suspension absorbs pithole and rough road very well. The engine is refined and vibration free in this segment. Mileage is sometime give 55 on highways. Yes I would recommend the Honda unicorn because of its engine is very reliable. Honda engines is known as long last with minimum problems. Suspension and seat is very comfortable. The best bike in this segment. Also it's low maintenance. And many more. It's KALA GHODA.

      Best Bike in the 125 cc Segment
      As a mechanical engineer, I chose this bike for its sporty look, strong torque in the 125 cc segment, and comfortable posture for long rides. It also offers good features, a 14V battery, and bright headlights that provide better visibility at night compared to many other bikes. My TVS Raider 125 iGO gives around 75 Kmpl on highways when ridden at 0 to 60 Kmph and about 70 Kmpl above 60 Kmph. In city conditions like Dhule I get around 65 to 70 Kmpl. It also has great pickup strong torque for a 125 cc bike and a comfortable riding posture. Overall I am very happy with its performance. I absolutely love this bike and would recommend it to anyone looking for good looks comfort torque power and useful features in the 125 cc segment. As a mechanical engineer I appreciate its sporty design comfortable posture for long rides strong performance and bright headlight for better night visibility. Overall it offers a great balance of style efficiency and riding comfort.
