Ather 450S Battery, Range, Motor, Performance
The Ather 450S comes equipped with either a 3.7kWh or a 2.9kWh battery pack. These have a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 161km and 122km, respectively.
The 2.7kWh takes 7 hours 45 minutes to charge from 0-100%, and 5 hours 30 minutes for 0-80% - both using a home charger. Both variants have the same motor that makes 5.4kW and 22Nm, and have a top speed of 90kmph, accelerate from 0-40kmph in a claimed 3.9 seconds.
Ather 450S Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Ather 450S has an aluminum chassis, a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock. It comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends (200mm front and 190mm rear) and features CBS (Combined Braking System). The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels with 90-section tubeless tyres. It has a kerb weight of 108kg, ground clearance of 170mm, and 22-litres of underseat storage.
Ather 450S Features
The Ather 450S gets a 7-inch colour LCD console with Ather mobile app connectivity, with features like ride statistics, location tracking, and remote monitoring. It has 4 riding modes – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport. The scooter also comes with all LED lighting, Park Assist, Guide Me Home lights, and side-stand down motor cut-off. Turn-by-turn navigation and AutoHold features are exclusive to the Pro Pack.

July 17, 2026: The battery capacity in 450S has been reduced from 3.7kWh to 3.5kWh NMC while the claimed IDC range figure remains unchanged at 161km.
July 14, 2026: Ather will recycle old 450S batteries (and other Ather e-scooter battery packs as well) thanks to its new partnership with Lico Materials. Dead packs go to their Karnataka plant, where valuable materials get extracted and reused.
