Simple Wave

The Simple Wave is the brand's first family-focused electric scooter in India. Its price starts from Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). It is available in three models: Wave S, Wave and Wave +, with four battery pack options: 5 kWh, 3.7 kWh, 2.7 kWh and 2.2 kWh. These have claimed IDC ranges of 243 km, 171 km, 132 km, and 110 km, respectively.

The Simple Wave gets a conventional, family-oriented design, with a curvy silhouette and a large, comfortable-looking seat. The scooter gets an apron-mounted LED headlight with a DRL. 

The Simple Wave is available in 6 colour options: Pearl White, Polar Blue, Forest Green, Coral Red, Twilight Black and Dolphin Grey. 

The Simple Wave gets two display options: a TFT console with turn-by-turn navigation and an LCD console, and it includes features such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. The scooter also gets practical touches such as a built-in boot light for extra convenience. It also gets all-LED lighting, hazard lights and a USB charging port on the apron. It also includes a floorboard-mounted light, which is an added convenience while accessing bags in dark or poorly lit places. The scooter gets a pop-out storage on the side panels, which the brand calls ‘pill storage’, which can be used to store small items, adding to the scooter’s practicality.

The Wave S gets 3 riding modes: Ride, Eco and EcoX , whereas the Wave and the Wave+ get an additional  riding mode, called the Sport mode. The riding modes change the power output, thus letting the rider select between power or efficiency according to their needs. The scooter also gets Crawl mode, Hill Hold and Limp Home mode, with the latter helping the rider get home when the battery charge is low. 

Additionally, Simple Energy has also focused heavily on practicality, with the Wave offering 70 litres of boot storage, adding convenience for everyday grocery runs.

The Simple Wave is available in 3 variants, with different battery specifications. 

The Simple Wave is available in 3 variants and a total of 6-sub variants. All EBN variants get a 5-inch LCD console, whereas the TFT variants get a 7-inch TFT console.

The base model, the Wave S, gets 3 variants: Simple Wave S TFT, Simple Wave S EBN, and Simple Wave S EBN 2.2 kWh. The Wave S TFT and Wave S EBN 2.7kWh variants get a 6.4 kW motor with 132 km claimed IDC range. The Wave S EBN 2.2 kWh variant gets a 4.5 kW motor with a 110 km claimed IDC range.

The mid Simple Wave is available in 2 options: Simple Wave TFT and Simple Wave EBN. Both the variants get a 6.4 kW motor, which is paired to a 3.7 kWh battery pack, giving an IDC range of 171 km.

The top Simple Wave+ gets a 5 kWh battery and is paired to a 6.4 kW motor. The total claimed IDC of the Simple Wave + is 243 km. 

The Simple Wave + charges from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours and 15 minutes, using a fast  charger. The charging port is located on the apron, for convenience.

The Wave rolls on 12-inch wheels at both ends. Suspension duties are taken care of by a telescopic fork, and preload adjustable dual rear shocks. The scooter gets a 220 mm disc brake setup at the front and a drum brake at the rear. It has an accessible seat height of 775 mm, a long seat length of 920 mm and an adequate ground clearance of 175 mm.

The Simple Wave range starts from Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore). With this the scooter rivals the Ather Rizta, Ather Konarc, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.
