KTM 390 Adventure vs 390 Adventure X: Which One Should You Buy?
There is a price gap of more than Rs 60,000 between the two Adventures!

KTM India recently launched the 2026 390 Adventure, which comes with a downsized 350cc engine. Priced at Rs 2.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it now sits as the most affordable bike in the 390 Adventure range. It is essentially based on the more expensive KTM 390 Adventure X, and here are all the major differences between the two variants:
Design

The 2026 KTM 390 Adventure and the 390 Adventure X look exactly identical in terms of bodywork, stance and overall styling. There are no visual differences between the two when it comes to design.
The only change comes in the paint schemes and graphics. The 350 Adventure gets the same subtle and slightly premium-looking paint schemes which were earlier present on the KTM 390 Adventure S. While the 390 Adventure X gets two completely different paint schemes, which look similar to the KTM 250 Adventure’s colour options.
Engine

These bikes may look similar, but the engines are quite different. The new KTM 390 Adventure uses a downsized 349cc version of the 399cc LC4C engine. It makes 41.5PS at 8,600rpm and 33.5Nm at 7,000rpm. On the other hand, the 390 Adventure X produces 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. That said, the real-world riding experience is as different as the specifications look on paper.
The new 350 Adventure still feels quick enough for an adventure tourer and is quite refined as well, great for highway touring. But it lacks the immediacy of the 390 Adventure X and the fun factor the 390s are known for.

BikeDekho Says

Other than the graphics, engine and price gap, both of these variants of the 390 Adventure use the exact same underpinnings and features. This makes the price difference between the two look even more significant. For Rs 62,345 more, getting the 390 Adventure X doesn’t really make a lot of sense, unless and until you really don't want to miss out on performance. The 350 Adventure, on the other hand, is an equally good tourer as the 390 Adventure X, and it does that while being slightly more refined, offering a linear power delivery, and being hugely more affordable. This makes the new 350cc Adventure our pick of the two.

Best in segmentI am doing long ride on week end also for lite affordable i see many other options like Himalayan 450 but bit heavy for me so I choose ktm adventure because it's light weight easy to ride on highway also good feature of electrical side. On highway I am getting mileage of 30 to 37 kmpl depends on engine rpm this bike effortlessly crush on 120kmph to 140kmph with any engine stress also riding poser is good comfortable in city it's easy to manoeuvre in traffic. Here is my reason to choose ktm light weight good mileage best electric feature like riding mode cornering abs best tft counsel also you get accessories port bottom, also engine power is best in class no match for ktm.Read More
Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.Read More
