BREAKING: 2026 KTM 390 Duke And 390 Adventure Launched: Smaller Engine, MUCH LOWER Price!

KTM has launched the 2026 390 Duke and 390 Adventure in India, both with a downsized 349cc engine, and with this update, KTM aims to strike a balance between performance, efficiency and accessibility. All bikes in the 390 range (with the 399cc engine) will remain on sale as well, while the 399cc Duke will now be sold as the KTM 390 Duke R.

The updated KTM 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2,77,268, and the 390 Adventure is priced at Rs 2,80,905, both prices ex-showroom, Delhi. 

Engine And Performance Talk

The updated KTM 390 Duke and 390 Adventure are now powered by a new 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 41.5PS and 33.5Nm. These figures are 4.5PS and 5.5Nm less than what the 399cc engine produces. The new tuning is expected to focus more on providing similar performance, and rideability as before, while a slight bump in overall mileage is expected. 

That said, the KTM 390 Duke R will ensure that enthusiasts looking for higher performance still have a more aggressive option to consider.

Design and Colour options 

In terms of design, there is no visible change, and both the new 390 Duke and 390 Adventure look exactly the same as the 399cc versions. KTM has also introduced two new colour options for the 390 Duke: Electronic Orange and Atlantic Blue, while the Ebony Black shade is now called Gun Metal Grey. All three shades highlight its aggressive streetfighter design, with the Electronic Orange standing out as the most eye-catching option.

The new KTM 390 Adventure, on the other hand, gets the same colours from the 390 Adventure S, along with the alloy wheels from the 390 Adventure X. It is available in two shades (Electronic Orange and Ceramic White) and we have explained them in detail. These colour options remain unchanged, and suit the bike's rugged and touring-focused design.

Features

Both bikes continue to offer the same feature-rich package as before. They come equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, SMS/call alerts and ride data. Gets the same riding modes as before, Street, Rain and Track for the 390 Duke, while the 390 Adventure offers the same Street, Rain and Off-road ride modes. Switchable traction control, cornering dual channel ABS (switchable), and bidirectional quickshifter, are also part of the package.

Underpinnings

The KTM 390 Duke continues to be built on a lightweight trellis frame, and gets a WP Apex inverted fork, and a rear monoshock (both fully adjustable). It gets a 320mm front, 240mm rear disc brake setup, and runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. 

The KTM 390 Adventure also uses a similar trellis frame, and gets a long-travel suspension from WP at both ends, a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear wheel setup, and dual-purpose tyres. Making it suitable for both highway touring and off-road trails. For braking it gets a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc brake setup.

The new 349cc platform is also expected to keep the bikes slightly more efficient than before, and easier to live with, without losing the fun factor, KTMs are known for.
