Prices will go up from January 4
Cometh the new year, cometh price hikes. Too Shakespeary? Well, that might be a bit much but it is true as we expect to see a flurry of price hikes for two-wheelers starting January, with Hero getting the ball rolling.

The Indian bike maker has announced that it will increase the asking price of its models from January 4 onwards. That said, the price hikes are more or less going to be nominal, nothing more than Rs 2000, depending on the model.
While it will pinch pockets slightly, the overall asking price of Hero products isn’t too high. And also, the more popular models might receive lower premiums. Bikes like the XPulse 200 4V are likely to get larger premiums while the Splendor iSmart, HF Deluxe and such, might get smaller price hikes. So, even though you will have to spend that little bit more, you will not be asked to stretch your budget as much as you would have to with certain other brands.
