BREAKING: KTM 390 Adventure R Launched At Rs 3,77,915: FULL DETAILS HERE
Better off-road capability for a lower price than the standard 390 Adventure
KTM has finally launched the 390 Adventure R in India and interestingly, it undercuts the KTM 390 Adventure. The ‘R’ is for riders who want a more hardcore off-road focused machine straight from the factory.
How Much Does It Cost?
The KTM 390 Adventure R is priced at Rs 3,77,915 – surprisingly making it Rs 18,829 cheaper than the 390 ADV with spoke wheels, which costs Rs 3,96,744 (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The lower pricing is due to it not getting cruise control, optional turn-by-turn navigation, and Mitas tubed tyres on the 'R' (instead of tubeless). Do note that the regular 390 ADV is called ‘390 Adventure S’ in markets abroad.
The 390 Adventure is available in a single colour option as of now: Ceramic White.

What’s Worth Noting
While it is the most off-road capable 390 Adventure yet, the tall seat height and tubed tyres may make it less practical for everyday urban use. Shorter, less skilled riders may find the bike intimidating, especially in traffic or while manoeuvring at low speeds. However, for riders who regularly venture off the beaten path, these compromises should feel completely justified.
Our Take – Who Should Consider It?
The 390 Adventure R is clearly meant for serious off-road enthusiasts who want a lightweight yet powerful adventure motorcycle without stepping into the much more expensive twin cylinder middle-weight segment.
It may not be the best choice for riders who mostly stick to highways and city roads, but if you’re riding far away from home, and then exploring trails, broken terrain or even do proper dirt riding, this is easily the most capable small-capacity ADV KTM has offered in India so far. Those who often tour Leh-Ladakh may also find this particular variant very appropriate (provided they have the means to handle punctures).
And the fact that it costs less than the standard spoked-wheel 390 Adventure just makes the deal even sweeter for the right buyer. That said, those who are really looking only for off-road-centric performance and not as much touring can consider the KTM 390 Enduro R, which is not much lighter, but also costs Rs 38,688 less (Rs 3,39,227 ex-showroom).

I am doing long ride on week end also for lite affordable i see many other options like Himalayan 450 but bit heavy for me so I choose ktm adventure because it's light weight easy to ride on highway also good feature of electrical side. On highway I am getting mileage of 30 to 37 kmpl depends on engine rpm this bike effortlessly crush on 120kmph to 140kmph with any engine stress also riding poser is good comfortable in city it's easy to manoeuvre in traffic. Here is my reason to choose ktm light weight good mileage best electric feature like riding mode cornering abs best tft counsel also you get accessories port bottom, also engine power is best in class no match for ktm. I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.Read More
