Hero MotoCorp has finally unveiled the long awaited Xpulse 421, which is actually called the Hero Xpulse 450. The bike carries a proper adventure bike stance, its stall, rugged, and the brand has given it some striking colour options and graphics to suit its overall stance.
The bike uses an all-new 421 cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC engine that makes an impressive 46.6 PS at 9,100 rpm and 38 Nm at 7,500 rpm. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and it also gets a slipper clutch.
The bike gets an all-new perimeter frame along with golden coloured KYB inverted fork with 225 mm wheel travel, and 22-step compression and rebound damping. Along with this it gets a rear linked monoshock. The bike runs on a 21-inch front, and a 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheel setup. There are disc brakes at both ends with a four piston caliper at the front and a single piston caliper at the rear.
Feature-wise, the bike gets all LED lights along with, along with a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. Hero has given its flagship bike a bi-directional quickshifter, switchable dual channel ABS, a ride-by-wire throttle, ride modes, switchable traction control and a cruise control as well. Other than this, the bike also gets segment first Android Auto and Apple Carplay integration. All of these features should together make the new Xpulse 450 quite a feature packed adventure tourer.
