In July we saw everything from premium electric scooters to roadsters and more being launched in India
July was quite an exciting month in the two-wheeler space as we got to see some interesting launches, from manufacturers like Hero, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, Yezdi, Ducati and BWM. Here’s a brief overview of all the bikes and scooters that were launched this month.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450
The first bike on this list is the much anticipated Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, which is also the second bike with a liquid-cooled engine from Royal Enfield. It is powered by the same 452cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder ‘Sherpa’ engine as the Himalayan 450, and produces 40PS and 40Nm. The bike is offered in 3 variants and a variety of colours. 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V
Hero dropped a big update for their 160cc sporty commuter offering, the Hero Xtreme 160R. The bike has now received a brand new colour scheme along with a bunch of different updates to its features. The brand has also started offering the bike as a single variant now with this update. Here are all the details.
Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike
Bajaj launched the much awaited Freedom 125 CNG bike in India during the first week of July. The bike is quite special as it is the first CNG powered bike in the world and the only one available In India. The manufacturer claims that the bike will be able to reduce fuel expenses by half thanks to the CNG power source. It comes in 3 variants and starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs 95,000. 2024 Yezdi Adventure
The Yezdi Adventure has been updated, with the bike undergoing a few changes to its performance and gear ratios. The bike has also seen a couple of design changes, with the addition of sleeker looking tank racks and 4 new colours. The best part? The bike is now more affordable than before!
BMW CE 04 Electric Scooter
BMW launched a very interesting electric scooter, called the CE 04. It is one of their premium commuter offerings and comes with a permanent-magnet liquid-cooled synchronous motor that delivers a peak output of 31.31kW and 61.96Nm. What’s most surprising about the scooter is the insane price that it comes at.
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono
Ducati launched the Hypermotard 698 Mono in India at a price of Rs 16.50 lakh ex-showroom. The bike is Ducati’s first single-cylinder bike in almost 3 decades since the launch of the Ducati Supermono 550. The Hypermotard 698 Mono comes with a 659cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces 77.5PS and 63Nm.
