Hero Electric E-Tipper Launched, E-Scooters Revealed

Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Electric has launched its new load carrying Electric-Tipper/Dumper at a starting price of Rs. 1.45 lac (Ex-Showroom, Delhi) and has also showcased upgraded Optima+, Maxi and Photon. All of these scooters are already on sale in the market but these scooters have been updated and  now come with Lithium-ion batteries instead of AGM VRLA batteries. Now, the Optima+ will be priced at Rs. 54,500 and the entry level scooter Maxi will be priced at Rs. 49,500 while the high-speed machine Photon will be priced at Rs. 88,000. These scooters will be launched on 1st April 2016 and according to company claims the packs of motor and battery have been designed especially while keeping in mind the weather and road conditions.

Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, said that "While the tipper has been launched today, the lithium ion battery-powered scooters would be launched on April 1. With the city's pollution levels growing at an alarming rate, restorative steps in the form of electric vehicles are the need of the hour".

Hero Electric Tipper is a first of its kind waste management vehicle. It is priced at Rs 1.45 lac (ex-showroom Delhi) without the battery while the Tipper with the battery is priced at Rs. 1.75 lac (ex-showroom Delhi). The Electric Dumper can carry a load of 300kgs and is also fitted with hydraulic tipper to unload materials. Powering the Tipper is 100AH lithium ion battery which took at least 12 hours for a complete charge and with full charge battery it produces a peak power of 2000W.
