Here are a few capable scooters and motorcycles you can buy for the price of TVS’ 110cc scooter

The TVS Scooty Zest offers a fantastic middle ground for those that want the performance of the Jupiter and the accessibility of the Scooty Pep Plus. Its small seat and small wheels make it easy to ride even for shorter people. Moreover, the Jupiter-derived motor offers good performance. At 51,175 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Scooty Zest offers good value. Here’s what else you can buy for the price of this 110cc scooter.

Hero Splendor Plus (Rs 51,790)

The Splendor has been a commuter favourite for over four decades. In its current iteration, the motorcycle remains unchanged except for the introduction of new graphics and alloy wheels. It also gets features like alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. The Splendor Plus is powered by a 97.2cc motor that delivers 8.36PS and 8Nm. The Splendor Plus is known for its reliability and cheap running costs and at this price, you can opt for the base kick start variant.

Honda Dio (Rs 53,777)

The other 110cc scooter here gets sporty bodywork and features like an LED headlamp and digital instrument console. It gets the Activa 5G’s underpinnings and powertrain but is more affordable. Its 109.19cc delivers 7.96PS and 9Nm of torque. The Dio makes sense if you want the Activa’s reliability in a sportier and more affordable package.

Hero Pleasure Plus (Rs 49,300)

One of the newest entrants to the 110cc scooter category, the Pleasure Plus gets a larger 110cc motor now as well as a new, retro-inspired design. It gets features like a side stand indicator, boot lamp, mobile charging USB port and alloy wheels. The new 110.9cc motor delivers 8.15PS and 8.7Nm of torque. This is a good option to the Scooty Zest 110 if you want an aesthetically pleasing scooter.

Crayon Zeez (Rs 48,000)

While the Crayon Zeez electric scooter might be low on performance, it offers a host of features. The scooter gets LED lighting, digital instrument console, central locking, geo tagging, disc brakes, ABS, regenerative braking and tubeless tyres. The one here gets lead-acid batteries but the Zees also gets a more expensive lithium-ion battery variant. Its 250-watt motor offers a top speed of less than 25km so the Zeez would make sense as a city runabout.
