Top Electric Two-Wheelers Launches Of 2021: Ola S1 Range, Simple One, Bounce Infinity E1 & More!

2021 saw the advent of some really interesting and popular electric two-wheelers in the Indian market

With the increased awareness about electric two-wheelers in India, more and more people are opting for the same, and as a result, a lot of brands are joining the bandwagon. So if you are also planning to buy one, here’re the most popular  electric two-wheelers launched in 2021.

Ola S1

Ola, after achieving success in its taxi business, has entered the electric mobility space with the launch of its Ola S1 electric scooter. The Ola S1 is available in two variants: STD and S1 Pro, priced at Rs 85,099 and Rs 1,10,149 (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The electric scooter comes equipped with features such as all-LED lights, a massive 36-litre under-seat storage that can accommodate two half-face helmets, 165mm ground clearance, cruise control, voice control, music playback and a 7-inch TFT Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen instrument cluster that also displays navigation. The Ola S1 and S1 Pro are offered with a claimed range of 121km and 181km respectively.

Simple One

Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based startup, recently launched its electric scooter, the Simple One. The e-scooter is offered with a claimed range of 203km on eco mode, the best in its segment. The Simple One also comes equipped with features such as four riding modes (Eco, Rain, Dash and Sonic) and a 7-inch touchscreen display with IP67 certification and Bluetooth connectivity that displays call alerts, music control, navigation, geo-fence and a tyre-pressure monitoring system. The pre-order amount for the Simple One is kept at Rs 1,947, and deliveries will begin in 2022. Initially, the e-scooter will only be available in Bengaluru, and the company claims that it will reach 75 cities in 13 states in the next few months. The Simple One is priced at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bounce Infinity E1

If you are looking out for an affordable electric scooter, then the Bounce Infinity E1 is the e-scooter you should have a look at. The USP of the Infinity E1 is the fact that it is offered in two variants with or without a battery pack. The battery pack variant is priced at Rs 68,999, whereas the one sold without the battery is priced at Rs 45,099 (both ex-showroom Delhi). On the features front, it comes equipped with all LED lights, two riding modes (Eco and Power), cruise control, Drag mode which allows the scooter to crawl in case of a puncture, and a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Customers can download the Bounce Infinity app that further displays remote-tracking information, battery charge status, geofencing, anti-theft, and tow alert.

Kabira KM3000 & KM4000



In the first quarter of 2021, we witnessed the launch of the fully faired and naked roadster electric bikes KM3000 and KM4000 from Kabira mobility that are priced at Rs 1,26,990 and Rs 1,36,990 (both ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The KM3000 and the KM4000 come with two charging modes (Eco and Boost); the former helps you charge the battery to 80 percent in 2 hours and 50 minutes while the latter does that in just 50 minutes. Other notable features on the e-bikes include a combined braking system, regenerative braking, and a reverse mode. Joy E-Bikes

In April this year, Joy e-Bikes, a subdivision of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, had launched its four new high-speed electric bikes: Hurricane, Thunderbolt, Skyline, and Beast. These e-bikes are priced at Rs 2,29,000, Rs 2,33,000, Rs 2,33,000, and Rs 2,42,000, (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. The Skyline, Thunderbolt, and Beast are offered with a claimed range of 110km, whereas the Hurricane comes with a claimed range of 90km.

Odessey E2Go

At the beginning of 2021, Odysse Electric, an electric two-wheeler startup, further expanded its portfolio with the launch of the E2Go and E2Go Lite. These low-speed electric scooters are targeted towards women and youth and are priced at Rs 52,999 and Rs 63,999 (both ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. These e-scooters are offered with features such as three riding modes, reverse function, a digital instrument cluster, anti-theft motor locking mechanism, keyless entry, and a USB charging port. Meanwhile, both e-scooters come with a claimed range of 60km.
