Spyshots of Simple Energy’s upcoming electric scooter have surfaced. Unlike the aggressive and sporty Simple One, this new model appears to be designed with practicality and everyday usability in mind, clearly targeting the family-scooter segment. The scooter gets a more conventional and approachable design. The standout elements include a long single-piece seat with a pillion backrest – a big plus for comfort-focused buyers. It appears to be riding on 12-inch alloy wheels with a conventional telescopic fork setup.

The expected specs are quite promising. The scooter is likely to have a 3.7kWh battery pack with a claimed range of about 180km, which could make it quite practical. A swingarm-mounted motor setup should help in keeping things simple and efficient. The images don't reveal clearly, but it is expected to get a TFT touchscreen instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation.

The upcoming e-scooter is expected to be priced at around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom), which positions it directly against rivals like the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 Pro. If Simple Energy manages to deliver on these expectations, this could be a strong contender in the family EV space.
