The latest SIAM (Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) bikes and scooters sales data for the month of January 2025 have arrived. And we have compiled a list of the top 5 best-selling scooters in India to understand the market trends and find out which are the most popular scooters in the country.

Our list also includes the scooter’s year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) sales data, to determine the growth or decline in sales:

5. Honda Dio 110 & 125

• Dio 110 Engine: 109.51cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder
• Output: 7.85PS at 8,000rpm and 9.03Nm at 5,250rpm
• Dio 125 Engine: 123.92cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder
• Output: 8.28PS at 6,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm

The Honda Dio 110 and 125 have been recently updated with a 4.2-inch TFT console, new features and an OBD-2B compliant engine. This might be the reason for the significant growth in its MoM sales. Honda sold a total of 25,114 Honda Dio 110 and 125 scooters around the country in January 2025, resulting in a 0.93 percent YoY growth and a significant MoM growth of 77.27 percent .

4. Suzuki Burgman Street

• Engine: 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder
• Output: 8.7PS at 6,750rpm and 10Nm at 5,500rpm

Suzuki’s maxi-style scooter the Burgman Street 125 has been selling really well since the past few months. A total of 25,607 Suzuki Burgman Streets were sold in India in January. The scooter successfully recorded an incredible MoM growth of 25.29 percent and an YoY growth of 61.36 percent. 

3. Suzuki Access 125

• Engine: 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder
• Output: 8.4PS at 6,500rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm

The 2025 Suzuki Access 125 has recently been launched in India with an updated OBD-2B compliant 124cc engine. It is the best selling scooter from Suzuki to rival the other family scooters in the Indian market. In January 2025, Suzuki sold 54,587 units of the scooter in India, placing itself as the 3rd best selling scooter in January. But, the Access 125 still witnessed a 4.61 percent decline in MoM sales, and had a 1.44 percent decline in YoY sales.

2. TVS Jupiter 110 & 125

• Jupiter 110 Engine: 113.3cc, air-cooled single-cylinder
• Output: 8.02PS at 6,500rpm and 9.8Nm at 5,000rpm
  
• Jupiter 125 Engine: 124.8cc, air-cooled single-cylinder
• Output: 8.1PS at 6,500rpm and 10.5Nm at 4,500rpm

The TVS Jupiter 110 and Jupiter 125 are family-focused scooters from the Hosur-based manufacturer. TVS recently updated the 110cc scooter with an all-new design, more powerful engine with hybrid assist and new features, making it more desirable than before. This has also contributed to boost the scooter’s sales number to 1,07,847 in January. The Jupiter continues to be the second best-selling scooter in India with an YoY growth of 45.29 percent and a 21.63 percent increase in MoM sales.

1. Honda Activa 110 & 125

• Activa 110 Engine: 109.51cc air-cooled single-cylinder
• Output: 7.84PS at 8,000rpm and 8.90Nm at 5,500rpm
• Activa 125 Engine: 124cc air-cooled single-cylinder
• Output: 8.3PS at 6,250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm

As always, Honda Activa range tops the list as India’s best-selling scooter. The Japanese manufacturer sold a total of 166,739 Activas last month, including the Honda Activa 6G and Activa 125. The Activa range saw a decline of 4.21 percent in YoY sales, but still has a 43.62 percent increase in MoM sales.
