The Peugeot P2x Roadster & P2x Cafe Racer have been developed around the Mahindra Mojo platform

Peugeot Motorcycle, which was acquired by Mahindra Two-wheelers in a 28 million acquisition, recently showcased two of its concept motorcycles at this year’s Intermot in Cologne, Germany. The Peugeot P2x Roadster and the P2x Cafe Racer will be offered in a loud blue and white paint scheme and designed with a neo-retro theme, which seems to be the trend these days.

Of the two, the Peugeot P2x comes with spoked wheels and an upright sitting posture, while the P2x Cafe Racer features sportier ergonomics thanks to its clip-on handlebars. It even gets alloys wheels instead of the spoke wheels seen on the P2x. There is a numbered side panel which keeps the P2x Cafe Racer in line with the retro theme.

In terms of features, the two motorcycles receive a full-digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity and navigation assist. The bikes also get LED lights at the front and back along with bar-end indicators.

Both the bikes are powered by the same 295cc, single-cylinder motor derived from the Mahindra Mojo. It produces 27.1PS of peak power at 8000rpm and 30Nm of torque at 5500rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Suspension duties are taken care of by upside-down forks up front and gas-charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. Anchoring the bike is a single disc paired to a four-piston calliper and a single disc mounted to a twin-piston calliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
