New Honda 350cc Bike Teased Ahead Of Launch, Here’s What It Could Be

Honda has teased what we think is a limited edition of the CB350 on its official social media channels. The teaser showed glimpses of the bike, and one aspect that really stood out was the pea-shooter exhaust. This is present only on the Honda CB350, so it’s clear that it will be a special edition version of the 350cc retro bike. Also, the teaser says “Bold isn’t just a word. It’s a move in the form of a ride. A special edition, revving soon”. Here's what we think it might get:
What To Expect
This edition of the CB350 is likely to get a new colour and graphics and also perhaps a couple of accessories as standard – to set it apart from the standard bike. It’s expected to go on sale in the coming days, with a slight price premium over the standard bike. For reference, the current top-spec DLX Pro is priced at Rs 2,00,064 (ex-showroom), and this variant will likely be placed over it.
To Remain Same
It will use the same 348.36 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that’s shared with the Honda CB350 H’ness and CB350RS. It makes 21PS at 5,500rpm and 29.5Nm at 3,000rpm. It’s paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, and gets a basic traction control system as well.
The diamond frame, telescopic fork, twin hydraulic shocks, 800mm seat height, 186kg kerb weight, 15.2-litre fuel tank, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, 19-inch front wheel with a 100-section tyre and 18-inch rear with a 130-section – will carry forward.
Existing features like all-LED lights, semi-digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, and voice-based navigation, phone alerts, music controls; hazard light switch, side-stand down engine cut-off, emergency stop signal (hazards switch on automatically when panic braking) – are also expected. The voice navigation isn’t really useful as it tells you the direction via your earphones/helmet intercom device. You might as well use your phone to use voice navigation, instead.

Special edition launches around Navratri, Dusshera, Diwali and other festivities are a common strategy for two-wheeler brands in India. Consumer demand goes up around this time, so Honda’s launch of the limited edition variant is perfectly timed. It also coincides with the GST rate cut for all 350cc bikes and below, so the launch of the new variant is simply a cherry on top for retro bike buyers.

I chose this bike because mainly my routes are on highways and ofcourse, because of the japanese reliability honda offers, plus it's the best bike in the segment in my opinion as it gets a fair amount of safety features like traction control, dual channel abs and because of the slipper clutch provided, gear changing and overall the engine is butter smooth. Also it gives the best mileage in the segment too, as I have ridden a classic 350 before, I can definitely tell the difference. Rides are butter smooth, it's like the bike is gliding, absolutely 0 vibration, it's not that comfortable as the hness 350 as it has a more aggressive riding stanc than the hness, but it's fairly comfortable, not that bad, the only thing bugs me are the stock seats, it's very uncomfortable for the pillion and your rear may hurt a little on long rides, but overall I'll rate it a 4/5, which is not bad at all. If you want the best looking neo retro bike in the segment, the cb350 RS is for you hands down, it has great mileage, very low maintenance cost, fairly comfortable (change the stock seats) and it feels rarer than other bikes in the segment as the BigWing network is so limited, and that gives you the satisfaction you need.Read More

Engine is refined, no vibration even driving on speed 100, suspension is stiffer side which become positive for highway rides. Good highway if your continuously riding on highway. Will get 40 plus mileage on highway if cruising on 80 speed. Handling is good. Breaking is fantastic even on high speed braking will provide enough confidence to control on it. Bigger negative is, need to shift the gear during on city rides. I would its one of bad bike if you are driving on city. Go for it if you riding on highway, will get 40 plus mileage which is an edge of this bike. Smother and refined engine will provide an next level experience on highway.
