New Ceat Tyres Launched For Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Pulsar 150

The brand has launched two tyres: one for light offroading and one for use on tarmac

  • The Ceat Gripp XL is a tubeless block-pattern tyre for Royal Enfield motorcycles.
  • It starts from Rs 2,375, but there's an ongoing offer thanks to which you can buy it for Rs 1,900!
  • On the other hand, the Zoom X3 is a road biased tyre meant for bikes displacing between 150cc and 220cc.

Ceat has launched two tyres at the 2019 India Bike Week in Goa. The brand claims the Ceat Gripp XL tubeless tyres, designed for all Royal Enfield motorcycles, offer better all-terrain grip. While the tyres are tubeless, one will need to have alloy wheels, to fit its purpose. The front tyre starts from Rs 2,375, while the rear unit will set you back by Rs 2,969. However, Ceat is running a discount offer, with the front tyre and rear tyre starting from Rs 1,900 and Rs 2,375 respectively. Do check out their official online shop for further details.

On the other hand, the Zoom X3 tubeless tyres are designed for bikes with displacement ranging from 150cc to 220cc. This makes them ideal for bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 180F, Pulsar 220F, and TVS Apache RTR 160. Both tyres come with a 72-month warranty. Here's the brand's press release regarding the launch:

Goa, 6th December 2019: Leading Indian tyre manufacturer CEAT Ltd, today launched two new range of motorcycle tyres, Tubeless Gripp XL and Zoom X3 series at India Bike Week 2019 in Goa. The new tyres were unveiled by Zubin Patel, a National Champion in professional motorsports racing. CEAT Ltd is also the Safety Partner at IBW organized in Goa from 6th to 7th December 2019. 

Exclusively launched for all Royal Enfield bikes, Gripp XL Tubeless, a tyre with ‘Superior Grip for all-terrain’, features an Angular block pattern that results in better traction and grips the riding surface. Another key aspect is the Optimized groove width between the blocks that provide better water channelling and superior wet grip.  

The Zoom X3 and Zoom X3 F Tubeless range of tyres are designed keeping in mind the ‘Superior control at High Speeds’. The new series of tyres cater to bikes above 150+ cc like the Pulsar 220/180/160, Avenger, Apache, among others. Zoom X3 for the rear tyre features a Zig Zag Centre Groove that helps with better straight-line stability with a wiping effect on wet roads improved aquaplaning, good water channeling, and improved traction on wet & dry roads. The Continuous circumferential Groove in the shoulder feature of the Zoom X3 F for the front tyres help the rider with enhanced ride and handling and sharp cornering ability.
