KTM 390 Adventure: Old Vs New Compared
Lets see how much of an improvement the new version brings over the older one

KTM has just recently launched the 2025 version of the 390 Adventure and it brings a lot of updates in comparison to the previous model in terms of performance, styling, features, underpinnings, a bigger capacity engine, and a price increase. Let us see how the new one compares against the old one:
Price
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure has been priced at Rs 3,67,699, which is an increase of Rs 3,557 over the previous generation, top-spec, spoke wheel variant which is priced at Rs 3,64,162 (both prices ex-showroom).
Design

The design of the 2025 model has a more rally-inspired look with a taller windscreen, a rally bike like tower for the instrument console, stacked headlight setup, and a long, single-piece seat. All these changes make the new 390 Adventure appear more rugged and purpose built for off-road use compared to the previous version.
Features

The new 390 Adventure comes with an updated full colour 5-inch TFT display, same as the one found in the KTM 390 Duke. This console includes smartphone connectivity features such as call and SMS alerts, music controls, and turn-by-turn navigation. Other features like cruise control, cornering ABS, switchable ABS modes, traction control, and three ride modes: Rain, Road, Off-road are also present.
Engine

The 2025 Adventure is powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. That is 2.5PS and 2Nm more than the previous 373cc engine. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Underpinnings

The updated Adventure features a suspension upgrade with 200mm of travel in the front and 205mm in the rear. It now comes with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoke wheels, replacing the older 19-inch front and 17-inch setup. The seat height is now 830mm, which is 25mm lower than before, and it now has a ground clearance of 227mm.
BikeDekho Says

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure brings many significant upgrades over the previous model, including a more powerful engine, additional features, and a refreshed styling. With improved off-road capabilities, the new bike offers an overall better package over its predecessor. While it is priced higher than before, the additional features and better performance make it a competitive choice in the sub-500cc adventure bike segment.

Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free. And comfortable, also if you have to carry any luggage they have provided good anchoring points. Tieing a back pack or a duffle bag is easy.Read More
