Honda has refreshed its premium big-bike lineup in India for 2026 with the launch of the E-Clutch-equipped versions of the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp. Along with this, the brand has also relaunched flagship CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP in India, and has introduced a new premium looking shade for its luxury tourer, the Gold Wing.
Honda’s E-Clutch Technology Arrives On More Big Bikes
A few weeks back, Honda launched the NX500 E-Clutch, and now the brand has launched E-Clutch-equipped CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp in India. The bikes are priced at Rs 10,49,000 and Rs 13,20,000 (ex-showroom, Gurugram) respectively, being Rs 1,26,000 and Rs 1,38,491 more expensive than the non E-Clutch versions.
The E-Clutch technology allows riders to start, stop, and shift gears without needing to operate the clutch lever. The system automatically manages clutch engagement and disengagement, making gear shifts smoother and reducing rider fatigue, especially while navigating city traffic. What’s particularly useful is that riders can still use the clutch lever conventionally whenever they want. This means you get the convenience of clutch-free riding during daily commutes while retaining the familiar manual experience when desired.
Apart from the addition of the E-Clutch system, both motorcycles remain unchanged mechanically and cosmetically. The CB750 Hornet continues with its 755cc parallel-twin engine and sporty streetfighter character, while the XL750 Transalp remains Honda’s versatile middleweight adventure tourer.
Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Returns To India
Leading the updates is Honda’s flagship superbike, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP, which has been relaunched in India at Rs 33,50,000 (ex-showroom, Gurugram).
The Fireblade SP continues to be one of the most focused litre-class superbikes on sale, featuring razor-sharp styling with aggressive aerodynamic bodywork inspired by Honda’s MotoGP machines. For 2026, it will be offered in the same, striking looking Grand Prix Red paint scheme that also gets contrasting blue graphics.
Powering the Fireblade SP is the same 1000cc inline four-cylinder engine that makes an impressive 217PS and 113Nm. The motorcycle continues to come loaded with top-shelf hardware, including electronically adjustable Ohlins Smart-EC 3.0 suspension, Brembo Stylema R front brake callipers, and a lightweight Akrapovic titanium exhaust system as standard.
Gold Wing Gets A New Premium Shade
Honda has also updated its luxury tourer, the Gold Wing with a new Gun Metal Black Metallic paint scheme. It is priced at Rs 44,30,000 (ex-showroom, Gurugram), it is Rs 1,47,886 more expensive than the previous Bordeaux Red Metallic paint scheme.
The darker finish of the new colour complements the Gold Wing’s massive bodywork beautifully, giving the motorcycle a more premium and sophisticated road presence. It also adds a stealthier look to what is already one of the most recognisable touring motorcycles in the world.
Mechanically, the Gold Wing remains unchanged and continues with its six-cylinder engine, premium touring equipment, and long-distance comfort-focused package.
