BREAKING: Hero Splendor Plus And HF Deluxe Flex Fuel Launched

Hero MotoCorp has expanded its commuter motorcycle lineup in India with the launch of the new Splendor Plus Flex Fuel and HF Deluxe Flex Fuel. Priced at Rs 82,710 and Rs 72,792 respectively (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The new models are designed to run on ethanol-blended fuels ranging from E20 to E85, making them more environmentally friendly while also being future-ready.

What’s New?

The biggest update is the ability to run on ethanol blended fuel producing fewer emissions than conventional petrol, making these bikes a greener alternative for everyday commuting. To support the new fuel blends, Hero has equipped both motorcycles with an all-new fuel pump, a secondary fuel filter, and a revised ECU tune. According to the brand, these changes have not only improved compatibility with ethanol fuels but have also boosted performance.

Hero claims that both motorcycles now produce 7% more power and 3% more torque than their standard counterparts.

Visually, the changes are subtle. Both bikes feature an all-black finish along with new Flex Fuel graphics. The graphics use a combination of white, lime yellow, and blue shades, helping distinguish them from the standard models without changing their familiar appearance. Other than this both bikes also get new semi-digital instrument consoles, while the Splendor also gets a USB charging port on the side of the speedometer.

What Remains Unchanged?

Apart from the flex-fuel upgrades, both motorcycles remain largely identical to their standard versions. The Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe continue to use the same commuter-friendly design that has made them household names across India. The underpinnings remain unchanged as well, with both bikes featuring a tubular double-cradle frame, conventional telescopic fork, and twin rear shock absorbers.

Feature-wise, the motorcycles continue to offer practical equipment such as side-stand engine cut-off, i3S idle start-stop technology, and alloy wheels. The focus remains firmly on reliability, fuel efficiency, and ease of ownership rather than flashy features.

The Splendor Plus Flex Fuel is Rs 2,479 more expensive than the standard Splendor Plus, while the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel commands a premium of Rs 179 over the equivalent HF Deluxe variant. Considering the additional hardware, ethanol compatibility, and the claimed increase in performance, the price premium seems to be very reasonable.

More importantly, both the Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe consistently rank among India’s best-selling motorcycles. By bringing flex-fuel technology to two of its most popular commuters, Hero has taken a significant step towards making cleaner mobility accessible to a much larger audience. If ethanol-blended fuels become more widely available in the coming years, these motorcycles could prove to be a smart and future-ready choice for everyday riders. Deliveries for both of these new bikes will commense from July 26, 2026 all accross India.
