Bajaj has launched the Pulsar N125 in India. The bike is available in two variants: LED Disc and LED Disc BT. The top-end LED Disc BT variant will get three colour options, which are: Ebony Black/Cocktail Wine Red, Pewter Grey/Citrus Rush and Ebony Black/Purple Fury. The LED Disc variant will be available in four colours: Pearl Metallic White, Ebony Black, Cocktail Wine Red and Caribbean Blue.

Design

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 gets an LED headlight surrounded by Z-shaped LED DRL. The tail light is also an LED unit and all indicators are bulb types. The aggressive tank extensions make the bike look quite sporty and the single-piece grab rail adds a touch of practicality. The fork gets a plastic covers for protection against dust particles. The under-belly exhaust adds to the sporty stance.

Engine and Underpinnings

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is powered by a 124.58cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine which makes 12PS at 8,500rpm and 11Nm at 6,000rpm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It gets a telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Braking is handled by a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear which gets a combined braking system. The tyre size is 80/100-17 at the front and 100/90–17 for the LED Disc variant while the top-end LED Disc BT variant gets a 110/80-17 at the rear. The fuel tank capacity is quite small, just 9.5 litres and the motorcycle weighs in at 125kg (kerb). The seat height is an accessible 795mm and has a massive ground clearance of 198mm. 

Features

The top-end LED Disc BT variant gets a fully digital LCD console which gets Bluetooth connectivity, and has essentials such as a trip meter, speedometer, a fuel-gauge, and a tachometer. Another feature which the top-end variant gets is ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) which essentially gives you silent starts. The base LED Disc variant gets a smaller LCD console which misses out on Bluetooth connectivity and displays lesser information. The base variant also does not get ISG and gets a self start instead. 

Price and Rivals

The Bajaj Pulsar N125 is priced at Rs 94,707 for the base LED Disc variant and Rs 98,707 for the top-end LED Disc BT variant. It will be sold alongside the Pulsar 125 and the Pulsar NS125, and sits right in between them. The Pulsar 125 starts from Rs 81,843 and goes up to Rs 97,133 for the top-end variant, and the Pulsar NS125 is priced at Rs 1,06,400. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The N125 goes against the likes of TVS Raider 125 and the Hero Xtreme 125R.
