Here's the list of ADV's arrived in 2021, that you can go touring with

The increasing awareness about adventure touring, complemented by a few affordable options, is surely increasing the demand for ADV's in the country. So if you are planning to get Leh'd in 2022, here are a few options you can consider for your trip.

Benelli TRK502 and 502X -

At the beginning of 2021, Benelli launched the TRK 502 and the TRK 502X adventure bikes, which are now priced at Rs 4,99,000 and Rs 5,45,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). The former is a road biased version that rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels and gets an underbelly exhaust. Meanwhile, the TRK 502X is an off-road-centric bike that rides on a 19-/17-inch spoke wheels setup and also comes equipped with a high-slung exhaust. The underpinnings on both bikes include 50mm inverted fork up front (not adjustable) and a rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability.

Benelli TRK 251 -

Benelli recently launched the TRK 251 at Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it the most affordable bike in the brand's lineup. The TRK 251 gets a twin LED projector headlamp, a transparent windscreen, 249cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, LCD instrument cluster and USD fork/monoshock suspension setup.

Hero XPluse 200 4V -

Hero has given the XPluse 200 4V a much-needed update which has now eliminated a few of its drawbacks. The updates on the ADV includes a 4-valve setup for its 199.6cc single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled engine, revised gear ratios, a new oil-cooler, updated LED headlight and altered seat profile. While the ADV has received quite a few updates, the underpinnings have been retained as the bike still rides on a telescopic fork and monoshock setup. The Hero XPluse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,28,150 (ex-showroom Delhi), and it's available in three new dual-tone paint schemes: Trail Blue, Blitz Blue and Red Raid.

Royal Enfield Himalayan -

In the first quarter of 2021, Royal Enfield also bestowed its ADV with a few mechanical and cosmetic updates. The Himalayan now features a tripper navigation system (turn-by-turn navigation), a new windscreen with its smoked finish, a revised front rack, a more rugged tail rack, and three new colour options: Pine Green, Mirage Silver and a new shade of Granite Black. The telescopic and monoshock suspension setup on the Himalayan has remained unchanged, and the price of the ADV starts at Rs 2,10,373 (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda CB200X -

To capitalise on the entry-level ADV segment, Honda has also launched the CB200X at Rs 1,44,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The CB200X comes equipped with all-LED lights, LCD instrument cluster, inverted front fork, preload-adjustable rear monoshock, 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 140-/170-section tyres, single-channel ABS, and the same 184.4cc engine that also does duty on Hornet 2.0.

Premium Adventure Motorcycles -

If your budget is above Rs 6 lakh then you can also consider a few other premium adventure bikes such as the Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, the latest iteration of which only gets a new paint scheme and its price starts at Rs 15,96,500, (ex-showroom Delhi). Other notable alternatives include the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport that uses the same engine from the Tiger 900, Honda CB500X that comes via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route, Harley-Davidson's first adventure tourer, the Pan America 1250, Ducati Multistrada V4, the world’s most powerful ADV, and the Moto Guzzi V85 TT that arrives via the CBU route, priced at Rs 15.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

always wanted to buy this bike, chose this bike for its comfort, riding posture, and ability to handle on bad roads. the suspension, ground clearance and high cc engine made it a sensible all round choices the ride has been smooth and confidence, specially on bad roads. stable on highways. the suspension absorbs bumps very well, making long rides smooth and easy to reach. overall the riding experience is so good specially in long rides. yes, i would recommend this bike for those who looking budget friendly, comfort, stability and touring perspective. its made for long rides, poor road conditions and for relaxed riding. perfect for adventure styles.Read More

My review based on my experience.

Very well designed bike, low maintenance cost, best bike to have in this segment. Best for city travels and on adventure trips as well. Maintenance cost is very low, mileage is quite good, running is superb. This motorcycle owns its name and legacy of Royal Enfield and it’s not available to buy it new. Read More

I buy this beast in 2022. Driven 23000 km so far. It gives thrill performance on highways .good for touring. For a 5.8 person it feels tall.which gives amazing looks. Talking about mileage it gives 30kmpl on highways and 27kmpl in city. I have used this bike for daily commute as well as long rides. Feels amazing and comfortable.Read More
