The ADV now packs more performance and bunch of subtle updates

Hero MotoCorp has launched the XPulse 200 4V in India at Rs 1,28,150, just a few days after its spy shots surfaced online. The bike is now pricier by Rs 5,000 compared to the previous model.
The highlight of the update, as the name suggests, is the revised 199.6 air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It now gets a 4-valve overhead configuration, instead of the 2-valve setup of the outgoing model. This has now resulted in 19.1PS and 17.35Nm, which is a gain of 1.02PS and 0.9Nm over the previous model. While this may not seem much, Hero MotoCorp has improved upon the transmission and reworked the gear ratios for improved acceleration. And to keep the engine running at optimal temperature, the oil-cooler has been updated too.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V now features some other subtle updates as well. The bike now features an integrated start and kill switch. It was no secret that the LED headlight of the XPulse was adequate, and now the bikemaker claims to have worked upon that as well for better visibility. With all the updates, Hero has also altered the seat profile of the bike, and now at 825mm, it is 2mm taller than before. Hero MotoCorp has also introduced new dual-tone paint schemes for the ADV-- Trail Blue, Blitz Blue and Red Raid.

Hero MotoCorp has made no changes to the underpinnings, and the new XPulse 200 continues to use the same telescopic fork and monoshock setup as before, while braking duties continue to be carried by the 276mm/220mm discs. Even the LCD console from the previous model has been carried over, and continues to offer smartphone connectivity, with turn by turn navigation.
At Rs 1.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) the Hero XPulse 200 4V continues to be Rs 16,350 cheaper than the ‘Urban Tourer’ Honda CB200X. Just like with the previous model, Hero will continue to offer the Rally Kit at as an optional fitment. While the performance on paper seems to have improved, it would be interesting to see how the changes come into play in the real world.

- Great, But if you add on a bit extra to stock bikeBike is really good, if you choose to ride a stock vehicle, you might feel a bit comfortable, but if you get some accessories on it, it will be your friend for life. Just like i have added accessories like, seat modification with extra foam, handle bar riser, Fog light(for sure), Center stand, Top rack with back rest.Read More2
- Hero x pulse 200 4V review after 22000 kmsI am five eleven and it suits me for my height. Comfort of a rider not a pillion and mileage is a plus for this bike. Maintenance cost is also very good and cheap you can get service done from any of the authorised hero service centres. I have been driving since almost twenty two thousand kilometres so far and im fully satisfied with the performance of this bike. I just changed chain socket and fuel motor in the fuel tank. Ride comfort is very good for rider not for pillion thats only negative. Yes I would definitely recommend this bike to those who have height above five eight. - Best choice for Bad Roads and Daily Use.I chose Hero Xpulse 200 4V for its comfort on bad roads while still being easy to ride daily. The suspension works great on potholes, the engine is smooth for city rides, and maintenance stays affordable. Ride quality has been comfortable so far, especially on rough roads. Mileage is decent for daily use, handling feels light and confident, and while top speed isn't aggressive it's stable and relaxed at cruising speeds. Yess -- I'd recommend it for daily riders who want comfort on rough roads, easy handling in traffic, good mileage and reliable performance. Not ideal if you want high speed or aggressive sport riding.Read More3 2
- Perfect offroad machineIt's a perfect bike for beginners who want to learn more into offroading and motocross. Along with that you can use it for your day to day life and even long tours . Perfect for solo riding. Low maintenance, good mileage. I have ridden it for more then 30000km . From plain to hills to high altitude area. It's good for offroading, even rode it in off road track it performs pretty good. Not good if you want to go for long tour with pillion. If you want to learn motocross or rally or offroad trails you can definitely go for it. Even looking into the Indian road conditions it perfect. You can do long high way ride with decent speed of 80-90kmph.Read More1
- NATURE OF XPULSE 200 4vBest for off-roading as it consists of great tyres with a large height of seat. Great suspension over and may be less chance of occurrence of pains like body and leg pain and back. Highly recommended for adventurous. It so good. kinda ride mostly enjoyable and give an mileage of approximately 30 to 40 kilometres per litre(good as compared to other adventurous bikes) best for both good and bad condition roads and it can be controlled easily. Yes I will recommend this bike and safety should also be looked over only a person with a good height can ride it. Very easily rest should be aware while riding this and should not limit the capacity of fuel in it.Read More1 1
