The 110cc scooter will get Bluetooth connectivity

Just a day after teasing the launch of the new XPulse 200 4V, Hero MotoCorp has released the first teaser of the new Pleasure Plus. With the festive season around the corner, we reckon the scooter will come in as early as this month, along with the XPulse 200 4V, Xtreme 160 Stealth and the Xtreme 200S.

The short teaser video gives out quite a few interesting details about Hero’s upcoming scooter. For starters, the halogen headlight will be replaced by a new LED unit, complete with LED DRLs. There will also be a generous amount of chrome on the scooter to bring out the premium appearance.

But the highlight of the 2021 Hero Pleasure Plus will be the new Bluetooth-enabled instrument console, making the Pleasure Plus the first 110cc scooter in India to flaunt this feature. That said, it is not an all-digital unit, with the speedometer still continuing with its analog design. Hero has updated it with a digital inlay that displays the fuel gauge, phone battery status, and message and call alerts.

This new Hero Pleasure Plus is likely to be launched as the new top variant, just like we have seen with the Hero Glamour Xtec. But will it be called Hero Pleasure Xtec? The possibility cannot be ruled out, but Hero could simply name it Pleasure Plus Connected, just like the bikemaker has done with the Maestro Edge 125 Connected.

Hero MotoCorp is unlikely to bring any mechanical updates with this new model. So we expect the same 110.9cc engine developing 8.15PS at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm at 5500rpm in the 2021 Pleasure Plus. Even the link-type front suspension and single-shock setup is unlikely to be updated. The teaser gives a glimpse of the drum brakes which seem like the 130mm units seen on the current model.

The upcoming Hero Pleasure Plus is likely to be placed above the Hero Pleasure Plus Platinum Edition that retails for Rs 66,400. With the additional features and cosmetic updates, we reckon that the new variant could demand a premium of Rs 3000 to Rs 4000. Pretty steep for a 110cc scooter, don't you think? Let us know in the comments section below. The Hero Pleasure Plus shall continue to compete with the TVS Scooty Zest 110, Activa 6G and Honda Dio.
