New Colours
The Yamaha R15S, which is the most affordable variant now, gets an updated Matte Black colour scheme with Vermillion rims and graphics. Compared to the older Matte Black colour scheme, this one looks really nice and a bit more flashy.

In the Yamaha R15 V4’s case, the two new colours include Matte Black and Matte Pearl White. Both these colours look really good, with the Matte Black being a more subtle shade of black than the Dark Knight colour scheme.

But out of the two, the Matte Pearl White looks very nice and elegant. The colour scheme is offered internationally and has been quite popular abroad. We are glad Yamaha has finally decided to bring it to India. The updated Racing Blue colour scheme also looks nice, and the R15 graphic on the fairing really does stand out.

The Yamaha R15M now gets a new Metallic Grey colour scheme, and we feel it is more black than grey. The colour scheme looks quite similar to the Icon Performance colour, but with the bottom half of the fairing also in black. It doesn’t stand out as such, but its price now makes the R15M more affordable.

Overall, we are glad that Yamaha has introduced colour schemes which are offered internationally. This simple move elevates the premiumness of the motorcycle to a great extent, while also giving customers a lot more options. Other than this, the bike remains unchanged mechanically and is still powered by the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which produces 18.4PS and 14.2Nm. The R15 has always been a good choice for a beginner bike, and with the new paint schemes, it looks quite fresh.
User Reviews
Driven by single person onlyBike's performance is an excellent, powerful pickup, starts easily, one handed used only, driven 7700 km only within 3 and half years. Overall experience is memorable, sound is normal, highway experience is totally amazing, driving R15S vs other bikes is totally different, average can be maintained if we drive well.Read More
Yamaha r15 v4 is a great fully faired sports bikeThe reason i chose this bike was quite a story in short, i was a student who was about get in college and i needed a bike to travel a quite moderate distance. When i was searching for a bike which is highly affordable as well as stylish on the looks and has great features too! Then i came across this masterpiece which was totally worth it. The ride is great so far. But there are few factors to look for if a beginner is going to buy this bike, as a fully fair bike the biggest issue would be comfort on long ride eg. Posture issue because of the aggressive stance fully fair bikes usually have. But for the short to moderate distance its great soo far. And handling also good, and mileage is better than expected. One more thing to consider, if someone lives in a crowded city like area they can this as this bike isn't a street fighter or naked body bike for city specific conditions. I would absolutely recommend this bike to even a beginner who want to get a thrilling ride experience of a fully fair bike at price rang as low as this, mileage also great compared to other similar bikes, great handling too, maintenance is also fairly rated i would say, totally worth it!Read More
