Breaking: Yamaha XSR155 New Black Colour Launched; Check Price And Other Details
It costs Rs 9,000 more than the cheapest colour variant, which is Metallic Blue

Yamaha has just launched a new ‘Metallic Black’ colour for its neo-retro bike. The new shade is priced at Rs 1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) serving as a top colour variant, price-wise. Along with this, the brand has also increased the prices of other colours of the XSR155.
The new colour joins the existing colour options including Metallic Blue, Metallic Grey, Greyish Green Metallic and Vivid Red.
What’s New?

The Metallic Black colour gives an attractive look to Yamaha XSR155 featuring a metallic black shade on the fuel tank, and on the side panels while the rest of the motorcycle gets a black finish. The black coloured seat goes well with the overall dark theme of the bike. More importantly, this shade gets a gold-finished fork, while the logos are finished in contrasting chrome. It also features blacked-out wheels, so the only option with golden coloured wheels remains the Greyish Green Metallic.
With the introduction of Metallic Black, Yamaha has answered the customers' demands of asking for a black colour option. The overall finish is subtle, yet elegant, and in line with its minimalistic design approach.
What’s Unchanged?

Apart from the new colour option, rest of the mechanical details remain the same. The bike is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) that makes 18.4PS and 14.2Nm paired to a 6-speed gearbox. VVA tech helps in ensuring a good balance of low and top-end drive.
The XSR 155 comes with a USD fork and a monoshock, traction control, disc brake at both ends, and dual-channel ABS, assist-and-slipper clutch, all-LED lighting, and circular TFT console showing important details like trip meter, fuel gauge, gear position indicator along with Bluetooth connectivity. That said, there’s no turn-by-turn navigation even as an option.
Interestingly, Yamaha offers a black colour option in the Indonesian markets as well. However, the one sold in that country gets a gold-themed logo on the fuel tank and on the side panels. The Indonesian version of the XSR155 also got a super cool-looking 70th Anniversary red and white combo livery. We really hope Yamaha introduces this colour scheme in India as well.

- Most Underrated BikeWanted a low cc but stylish and retro motorcycle and here XSR became by my favourite. It can be easily maneuver in city traffics so that you don't have to be struggle to drive. Light weight as well. Gets you great mileage of around 45 plus. The riding posture is aggressive and yes, you can feel the ride and that's what actually matters. The seat is quite hard but instead of replacing it you can have a s seat cover of 400 rupees which would make it but softer. If you want entry level retro bike or kind of new into riding culture have it, feel it and then eventually according to your needs upgrade. It is stylish, you stop at red signal, people stop and ask about the bike. Most underrated bike you can say.Read More
- XSR 155 in India reviewEngine reliability is very good, reviews from the international audience suggests, the neo retro design looks damn good on roads. I've got so many compliments over the looks. Performance is insane too. The ride can be difficult to get used to at first but it gets better with time. The engine is super powerful and vibrations are very less. You can feel the power as you drive. The bike is pretty light and agile. And as you rev beyond 7k RPM, the VVA kicks in and the experience just get drastically better. I highly recommend this bike. Comfort might be one of the problems at the start but it gets better over time. Also, the customisation options are insane. You can just tune it to how you want it. Possibilities are endless.Read More5 1
