Ultraviolette has launched a software update which brings some performance changes with a more powerful Ballistic+ riding mode. This mode offers a revised throttle map for better torque delivery. The update is available for all models in the Ultraviolette lineup, including the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 and the Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet. Owners of the older F77 can also get the same update for their bike for free.

The Ballistic Plus mode offers a revised throttle map, and we found that the bike’s overall acceleration has improved. On the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2, the torque delivery under 30kmph was not the most engaging. However, the brand has changed this with the new update, and now the bike feels more engaging with a better initial pickup.

There has been no changes to the pricing of Ultraviolette’s electric bikes. Currently the brand has two models on offer in the F77 range, and here’s a breakdown of their current prices:

Other than the revised throttle map, both the models remain unchanged mechanically. The bikes get the same 7.1kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 211km. Powering both models, is a 30kW motor offering a claimed top speed of 155kmph.

The main difference between the two models comes down to the riding posture. The F77 March 2 has a sporty and committed riding posture with the clip-on handlebars. On the other hand, the Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet offers a wide single-piece handlebar for a relatively relaxed and upright riding stance.
