TVS Apache RTX 300 Vs Royal Enfield Scram 440: An ADV Against A Scrambler, What’s Going On?
Both the bikes are more similar than you expect, find out how here:

The recently launched TVS Apache RTX 300 has made headlines with the amount of features it offers for the price it has been launched at: Rs 1.99 lakh to Rs 2.29 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). It may not be a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rival, but interestingly, the price of the top-end BTO (Built To Order) variant is very close to the Royal Enfield Scram 440. Here are the differences, spec-wise:

The TVS Apache RTX 300 offers significantly higher power, obviously because of the more sophisticated engine design. The Scram 440 offers a lower-revving, larger-displacement long-stroke character aimed at offering plenty of low-end, torquey grunt. If you want outright performance and modern mechanicals, the RTX has the edge. If you want simpler mechanics with strong usable torque down low, Scram holds the appeal.

The Apache RTX 300 gets premium components, allowing the rider to fine-tune the suspension based on their weight as well as for the surface. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Scram 440 gets a one-size-fits-all setup that’s still credible for mixed use. If you want ease of use and simpler maintenance, Scram gains. Note that both are not really meant for hardcore off-roading.

It's here that the Royal Enfield bike has an upper hand with a lower, more accessible seat height, and a larger fuel tank. That said, the TVS bike is lighter by an empty gas-cylinder’s worth (16 kilos) – so it should be easier to pick-up when dropped. Both are matched on ground clearance, and it should be enough for most.

The Apache RTX 300 clearly packs in more advanced tech and convenience features, aiming for a more premium, feature-rich experience. The Scram 440 offers fewer bells & whistles but retains the essentials. If you are looking for gadgetry and touring aids, RTX is ahead. If you want rugged simplicity and value, the Scram fits.

The TVS adventure bike is the clear winner on paper when it comes to the value quotient. Even the base variant of the RTX undercuts the Scram by almost Rs 25,000 – while still offering so much more features. In comparison, the Royal Enfield feels a little out of date.
BikeDekho Says
If your priority is modern performance, long-highway rides, features, spirited weekend rides – then the TVS Apache RTX 300 wins this on-paper showdown. If your priority is everyday commuting, some light trail riding, lower seat height, simpler mechanics – then the Royal Enfield Scram 440 is the better choice.

User Reviews
One of the best above 300 cc bike you can have. For my inter state rides as I currently live in Ranchi but my home city is Chaibasa so I have to travel between these city a lot and this bike feels best when I ride for a longer distance. The major reason was the height of the bike, as I am 6.1 ft 24M, it is the best height bike for me. As I can feel that this bike is not for daily commuters as it is quite big for the Indian roads but the whole seen changes when you ride it on highways. I feel confident while riding this, one of my cousin have RE Himalayan and when compared to it, this bike feel more agile and is more practical. I would recommend this bike to only those who wants to have a best all rounder bike as it has best in the market technical specs, (even I have not fully explored all the modes of the bike thus far), it feels confident to ride on in many situations. And to top it all off, it has best engine as both BMW and TVS came together in this.Read More
Bikers storyStylish design with bold looks, better options good height of the seat. The seat is very comfortable. I like the suspension of the bike, it's very comfortable in the hilly areas it also suits good with Indian road conditions. My ride so far was very comfortable with scram 440 with better mileage good suspension quality and the seat quality which makes it better for long rides the mileage also is quite well and the power which it creates makes it a unique one. Yes, I would like to personally recommend bike for adventure lovers, full like to take the bikes on the long tours and the rough terrain where there are silly roads where it challenge the bike and it will give you hundred percent result.Read More
