Jawa, Jawa 42 Waiting Periods Still Stretch Up To 10 Months

Still considering to pick up the classically styled motorcycle? Here's how long you will have to wait

It has been eight months since Jawa entered the market with the standard Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two. If you’ve been following the news, you’d know that both the motorcycles commanded high waiting periods back when they were launched. And even now, there seems to be no respite as they are still painfully long. Here’s a list of waiting periods for both the Jawa and the Jawa Forty Two across major Indian cities:

The minimum waiting period for the two bikes is seven months in both Mumbai and Kolkata. That means you’ll have to wait till February 2020 to get your hands on a Jawa if you book it now. Interestingly, the 2020 Royal Enfield Classic 350 might also be launched by then. Such a long delay might result in potential customers losing interest in the motorcycles. However, we hope that by the second half of next year, all the production bottlenecks would be sorted. Moreover, Jawa reportedly plans to initiate the second phase of dealership expansion by the second half of next year which should enhance the trust factor among prospective customers.

The waiting period for both the bikes doesn’t seem all that different compared to last month. It is reported that the bottleneck is due to constraints in the suppliers’ production and Jawa is working to rectify the same. Meanwhile, the brand commenced deliveries for the dual-channel ABS-equipped variants from the end of last month. The cult bike maker also revealed the list of accessories for the two products at the end of last month.
