After seeing a rather rough first quarter of the financial year, Bajaj Auto has bounced back, with most of its two-wheelers seeing a positive Month-on-Month (MoM) growth.

While the commuters saw a fantastic growth, what was remarkable was the increase in the sales of both the Avengers; the entry-level cruisers. That said, both the Dominar 250 and Dominar 400 saw a substantial MoM dip in sales. Though the sales for the Chetak have dropped marginally, we expect the numbers to show an uptick next month as the company unveiled a new production line for the electric scooter at its manufacturing unit in Akurdi, Pune

Almost all bikes in the Pulsar series, on the other hand, saw an impressive growth in sales. The fourth most-selling Pulsar 125 and NS125 saw a dip in MoM sales. The 250cc Pulsars saw the biggest growth, selling nearly 11 times of what it did last month. What could have accentuated the sales is the introduction of dual-channel ABS in them last month. The 150-200cc lineup in the Pulsar range too, registered a solid 148 percent increase in sales when compared to last month, a part of which could’ve been thanks to Bajaj launching the N160 in India last month, which is the only bike in its segment to offer dual-channel ABS.

In a related development, Bajaj Auto has revealed it is working with KTM to soon roll-out high-end electric motorcycles.
