The HPS 300 is brought to our shores via the CKD route and retails for Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)

  • FB Mondial has received around 100 bookings
  • The first lot of bikes booked will be delivered by January, 2019
  • The HPS 300 is brought to India as a CKD by Motoroyale

Italian brand FB Mondial recently made its debut in India. Currently, only one bike from its portfolio, the HPS 300 is on sale in India, and is priced at Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The iconic Italian marquee retails it through Kinetic Group’s multi-brand venture, Motoroyale. According to Ajinkya Firodia, MD, Motoroyale, the company has received around 100 bookings for the motorcycle.

The first lot of bikes has arrived in India and will be assembled soon at its Ahmednagar plant and deliveries for the first lot is expected to be completed by January, 2019. The FB Mondial motorcycles are brought to India as CKD (completely knocked down) units. This is one of the prime reasons for the high asking price of the HPS 300 in India. When we asked Cesare Galli, the man responsible for resurrecting the brand back, about localising FB Mondial's products in India, he mentioned that it’s too early. Galli also added that he wants to position the Italian marquee as a premium brand for now.

Coming back to the HPS 300, its fabulous design is among one of its long list of highlights. The fusion of a scrambler and a café scrambler makes the HPS 300 look distinct and unique. It’s powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 25hp at 9,000rpm and 22Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox.

It employs a chunky 41mm USD fork at the front and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a 280mm disc at the front and a 220mm unit at the back, while ABS comes as standard fitment. Seat height is pretty low at 785mm and the motorcycle weighs just 135kg (dry weight). While the FB Mondial HPS 300 doesn’t have any direct rivals until the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 arrives here, but, it will go up against the BMW G 310 R.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 STD | 2022 Model | Lime Green

It is a fantastic bike. Dual engines. Aesthetically pleasing. Smooth driving and cruising experience. Authentic servicing and maintenance could be a little challenging given the limited number of Kawasaki stores. It offers 25-30 KMPL mileage in the city, and over 30 on highways. The fuel tank capacity is also huge at 17 liters of petrol. Amazing control of the driver on bike even at top-notch speeds. Read More

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Interceptor 650 has been an amazing bike to own. The 650cc parallel twin engine is smooth, powerful and fun to ride specially on highways. The exhaust note is addictive and the bike feel very stable on high speed, overall a great combination of performance, classic looks and riding experience. I have thoroughly enjoyed owning and riding it. Read More

Good for speed and stylish

I chose Jawa Perak 334 mainly because iska look mujhe bahut unique laga single seat bobber style sab bikes se alag feel deta hai engine bhi powerful hai aur road par strong dikhti hai mujhe kuch hatke chahiye tha jo har kisi ke paas na ho isliye ye bike choose ki. Ride experience ab tak kaafi smooth raha hai bike highway par stable feel deti hai aur aceleration bhi strong hai thoda heavy hai lekin control achha mil jata hai long rides ke liye comfortable hai bas city traffic me kabhi-kabhi thoda heavy lagta hai overall ride enjoyable hai. Haan, main recommend karunga lekin un logon ke liye jo style aur performance dono chahte hain Agar aapko unique design aur powerful engine pasand hai to ye bike best hai. Lekin jo log daily traffic ke liye easy bike chahte hain unke liye thodi heavy lag sakti hai.Read More
