FB Mondial HPS 300 Latest Updates
7th December 2018: Launched at Rs 3. 37 lakh (ex-showroom), by Kinetic-owned Motoroyale in India, the FB Mondial HPS 300 looks like a mix between a scrambler and cafe racer. In terms of features, the motorcycle employs LED indicators and taillight, while the headlight employs a halogen bulb. The circular digital instrument cluster is offset, and goes well with the straight handlebars. Ergonomics are upright, and the footpeg is slightly rear set for easy stand-up riding. With a 9-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle doesn’t exactly seem good for long distance touring.
The HPS 300 actually employs a 249cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected DOHC motor that pumps out 25. 1PS at 9000rpm and 22Nm at 7000rpm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. This scrambler is suspended on 41mm inverted forks at the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels. The wheels are shod with 110-section front and 130-section rear knobby tyres, and the motorcycle comes to a halt using 280mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. The bikemaker has provided dual-channel ABS as standard for safety.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 has been received well in India. Motoroyale says that it has received around 100 bookings for the neo-retro scrambler cafe. Deliveries for the bike will begin by January 2019.
The FB Mondial HPS 300 locks horns with the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 in the entry-level scrambler space. Apart from this, it will also rival the KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R considering its premium pricing.
