Bajaj has recently strengthened the Pulsar N160 lineup with a new USD fork variant with a single-piece seat. Here’s a detailed comparison between the top variants of both bikes to see which offers better features:

The Bajaj Pulsar N160 USD variant focuses heavily on braking safety and hardware upgrades. The standout feature is the three ABS modes: Road, Rain and Off-road, which change the level of ABS intervention depending on riding conditions. This setup adds an extra layer of confidence, especially on wet or loose surfaces. It also gets a projector LED headlight, Bluetooth-enabled LCD console with turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts. The addition of golden USD forks further enhances the premium feel and front-end stability. Overall, the N160’s feature list is geared more towards safety, visibility and long-distance practicality rather than aggressive riding electronics.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, meanwhile, focuses more on performance electronics and city convenience. It comes equipped with three riding modes: Urban, Rain and Sport. These modes alter throttle response and ABS behaviour, with Sport unleashing full performance, while Rain and Urban tone things down for better control.

The Apache also benefits from dual-channel ABS, full LED lighting, smartphone connectivity and TVS’ Glide Through Technology (GTT). This low-RPM assist lets the bike crawl forward smoothly in traffic using only clutch control and no throttle input, significantly reducing rider fatigue in bumper-to-bumper conditions. The Apache also offers voice assist, allowing riders to access basic functions through voice commands, which adds to its tech-heavy appeal.

With a difference of just Rs 2,300 between the two, the decision boils down to what kind of riding experience you prefer. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is the better pick if your priority is braking safety and premium hardware, thanks to its USD fork, projector LED headlight, and three ABS modes.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, on the other hand, makes more sense if you want a bike that’s fun in the city, packed with riding electronics, and easier to live with daily, thanks to riding modes, GTT, and voice assist.
