Royal Enfield has unveiled the Scram 440 in India. It is based upon the same chassis as the Himalayan 411 and the Scram 411 but now gets a bored-out engine which makes more power and torque than before. The Scram 440 will be available in two variants: Trail and Force. The Trail variant gets spoke wheels and will be available in two colours: Trail Blue and Trail Green while the Force variant gets alloy wheels and will be available in three colours: Force Blue, Force Grey, and Force Teal.
Design
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 carries the same design language as its predecessor, the Scram 411. The major update in terms of design is the addition of an LED headlight and new funky colour schemes. The bike carries the same silhouette as the previous Scram 411 with a beefy tank and slim tail section which makes the bike look quite handsome.
Engine and Underpinnings
The Royal Enfield Scram 440 gets a 443cc single-cylinder air & oil-cooled engine which is essentially a bored-out version of the 411cc engine which was found on the Himalayan 411. The 444cc engine makes 25.4PS at 6,250rpm and 34Nm at 4,000rpm which is 1.1PS and 2Nm more than the 411cc engine. The engine is now paired to a 6-speed gearbox, unlike the 5-speed which was on the Himalayan 411 and the Scram 411.
The chassis remains the same, a half-duplex split cradle frame. The seat height and ground clearance remain the same at 795mm and 200mm respectively. The suspension includes a 41mm telescopic fork with 190mm of suspension travel and a monoshock with 180mm of wheel travel. The Scram 440 gets a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear mounted on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel. The bike gets dual-channel ABS as standard and switchable ABS at the rear. Although the bike continues to get a 15-litre fuel tank capacity, the dry weight has gone up by 2kg and is now 187kg.

In terms of features, the Royal Enfield Scram 440 gets an all-new LED headlight and an instrument cluster which we have seen previously on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. An analogue speedometer with a small digital inset that shows the odometer, trip meters, and the fuel gauge. A tripper navigation pod is also available as an optional accessory.
Price and Rivals
We think the Royal Enfield Scram 440 will be priced around Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom) and for the official price, it will be announced in the month of January 2025 along with the delivery dates. The Scram 440 goes against the likes of the upcoming Hero Xpulse 210, Triumph Scrambler 400X and the Yezdi Adventure.

Stylish design with bold looks, better options good height of the seat. The seat is very comfortable. I like the suspension of the bike, it's very comfortable in the hilly areas it also suits good with Indian road conditions. My ride so far was very comfortable with scram 440 with better mileage good suspension quality and the seat quality which makes it better for long rides the mileage also is quite well and the power which it creates makes it a unique one.
