Yamaha FZ Range To Get OBD-2B Updates
The bikes may also get new colour schemes along with a small price increase

A new homologation document from the Department of Transportation confirms that Yamaha Motor India will launch the FZ-S Fi V4 and FZ-Fi with an OBD-2B compliant engine. We expect the bikes to be launched in the next few weeks. It may also get a small price hike of around Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 over their ex-showroom prices.
The homologation document also tells us that the power outputs of both bikes remain the same. They are powered by the same E20-compliant 149cc, air-cooled -single-cylinder engine that produces makes 12.4PS at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Yamaha FZ-Fi & FZ-S Fi V4: Colours & Prices
Yamaha could also announce new colour options for the FZ-S FI V4 and FZ-Fi for a refreshed look and to offer more value with the latest update. Moreover, the kerb weight of 135-136kg for the two bikes are expected to remain more or less the same with the new update.
The Yamaha FZ-Fi comes in two colours: Metallic Black and Matte Cyan (both priced similarly). The Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4 is available in 2 variants: standard and DLX. The standard variant is available in two colours: Dark Matte Blue and Matte Black. The DLX variant has 6 colours: Matte Black, Majesty Red, Metallic Grey, Racing Blue, Cyber Green and Ice Fluo-Vermillion.

Yamaha India is also expected to update the other bikes in its line-up with the OBD-2B compliant engine before April 1, 2025, since that is the deadline from the Department of Transportation, India. The current Yamaha motorcycle line-up includes the R15 V4, R15M, R15S, MT-15 Version 2.0, R3, MT-03, FZ-S, FZ-Fi, FZ-S FI Ver 3.0 and FZ-S Fi V4. The Yamaha scooter range has RayZR 125 Fi, Fascino 125 Fi and Aerox 155.
