Let's see how both of these bikes stack up against each other on paper

    Honda Rebel 300 Harley-Davidson X440

Honda recently unveiled the upcoming Rebel 300 in India. It gets an accessible seat height with a punchy 283 cc engine. Here is how it compares to the Harley-Davidson X440

    Engine and Gearbox

    Specifications

    Honda Rebel 300

    Harley-Davidson X440

    Engine

    38 Nm at 4,000 rpm

    Gearbox

    6-speed with slipper clutch

    • The X440 gets a much bigger engine than the Honda, but the latter produces more power, however, at 27.4 Nm it produces less torque.

    • The X440 feels relaxed, easy-going and the same is expected from the Rebel 300.

    • However, with the E-Clutch technology in the upcoming Rebel 300, the riding experience is expected to be easier.

The Harley-Davidson X440 is built for relaxed riding, while the Rebel might offer sportier performance.

    • The X440 also gets a TFT console, however, the Vivid variant gets an LCD console.

    • The Rebel 300 will also offer Bluetooth connectivity as standard, while on the X440 Bluetooth connectivity is available only on the S variant, and the base variant misses out on it.

    • The Rebel gets switchable traction control as standard, whereas traction control is reserved for the top spec of the X440.

    • The Rebel 300 should feel more flickable – it is 18.5 kg lighter than the X440, also this should make the bike much more easier to manage.

    BikeDekho Says:

Both of these bikes have different styling and should offer different engine characteristics as well. The low-end performance on the Harley-Davidson X440 is better and focuses more on providing a relaxed riding experience. The Rebel 300 too is expected to offer a comfortable ride, however the engine is expected to offer much more engaging performance than the X440. Also, the X440 is priced at Rs 2,59,000 (ex-showroom), while the Rebel 300 is also expected to be priced similarly once it gets officially launched in India
