The market has some worthy alternatives to the limited edition Apache
The market has some worthy alternatives to the limited edition Apache

The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP has finally made its debut, and the first bike from the company’s Race Performance lineup is the most powerful bike in its segment. Not just that, it is also limited to just 200 examples. As tempting as the RTR 165 RP is, there are some interesting options on sale right now in the same price range:

Yamaha MT-15: Rs 1,46,900
VVA-equipped liquid-cooled engine, six-speed transmission, assist-and-slip clutch and lighter by 10kg. Interesting, isn’t it? The Yamaha MT-15’s 155cc engine, however, produces 18.5PS at 10,000rpm and 13.9Nm at 8500rpm. Now, that is tad less than the RTR 165 RP’s performance. But the lightweight construction and taut wheelbase should translate to a more engaging riding experience.

Yamaha R15S: Rs 1,57,600
If you are a fan of faired motorcycles, the R15S fits the bill perfectly. It combines the tried-and-tested package of the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 with a hint of practicality with the single-piece seat. In fact, the R15S makes a tad more power than the R15 V4.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Rs 1,38,115
For around Rs 7,000 less than the RTR 165 RP, you can bring home its bigger sibling, the 200 4V. Not only do you save money, you also get to experience more performance, premium preload-adjustable forks, and all the connectivity features. Our road test review of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will perhaps give you a better idea about this naked from Hosur.

Honda CB200X DX: Rs 1,45,000
If you are looking for a bike on which you could occasionally tour comfortably, and is a head turner, look no further than the Honda CB200X. It has a peppy engine, impressive braking performance and a slick gearbox to woo you. Our first ride review of the Honda CB200X will give you a better idea if the Japanese ‘urban tourer’ is what you need in your garage.

Bajaj Pulsar F250: Rs 1,40,000
As they say, ‘There’s no replacement for displacement’. Not only does the Bajaj Pulsar F250 offer better performance, it is also cheaper than the RTR 165 RP. The Pulsar offers fresh styling, and is sporty yet comfortable for touring. We have tested the Pulsar F250 on and off the race track, and can vouch for its versatility.

- Urgent sell bikeApache RTR 4v black is quite good bike as compared to other brand. This bike offer 17 bhp and 15 nm torque which is quite fast coming to looks. It looks like naked super bike with red black colour combination. It offer three riding mode with tft display and abs braking which is single only with better mileage in this segment.Read More1 1
- Great Performance and Handling but City Mileage CoI chose the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD model mainly for its sporty design, features and strong road presence. The bike feels very stable on highways and comfortable for daily city rides. Handling is sharp and confidence inspiring. It is also good for family usage when riding normally. Overall the build quality, braking and features like TFT display make the bike feel premium in this segment. Ride quality so far has been very good. The Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD has excellent handling and stability. In highways the bike feels planted and smooth even at higher speeds. Braking performance and suspension are also good for most road conditions. But the biggest downside for me is the city mileage. In city I am getting around 28 to 32 kmpl, which is lower than expected for a 160cc bike. If someone wants good performance, sporty design, great handling and modern features, the Apache RTR 160 4V TFT USD is a very good choice. However mileage is the only reason I hesitate to recommend it to everyone. Competitors like Pulsar N160 give better mileage in city conditions. So if mileage is your main priority you may consider other options, but apart from that the bike is really enjoyable to ride.Read More3

- Apache RTR reviewAccording to online review it's the best bike in the segment. I reviewed other bikes in the segment and everybody has their pros and cons but this is the overall best friend and it has been running on the roads were years that's why. Very punchy and comfortable. It's very manuvareble in traffic and the blood through technology is very helpful in the driving also when it comes to I wait as a very good performance. Mileage is pretty good. Yes to anyone in this segment. Even even has an interesting 160 CC segment this is the best way to go for according to me as it as too much features for the price range and it is very much good for this age group.Read More6 3
