Modified bikes are a really interesting niche which we at BikeDekho love! In 2024, we saw some really good builds from custom houses across the world. In this article we will be giving you a brief overview of the top 5 custom bikes we saw this year:
Harley-Davidson Ramayana Build
We saw a modified Harley-Davidson Electra Glide and Harley-Davidson Deluxe at India Bike Week 2024. The bikes together narrate the entire story of the Ramanaya. The Electra Glide is called Sampathi and the Deluxe is called Jatayu. Both named after the mythical bird brothers from Ramayana.
This build was done by two friends from Jaipur, Chirayu Bhatt and Vijay Devnani. Both wanted to showcase their love of riding and spirit of brotherhood in a different way. What makes this build really insane is how the entire thing was completed in just 2 weeks!
Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 Cafe Racer
One of the best looking cafe racer builds we have come across this year was this one. A modified previous-gen Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, with a custom half fairing. The build was done by Husqvarna Gangman, yes that is the same Gangman mentioned in the once viral song Gangman style.
The scrambler-style motorcycle has seen a couple of design changes. The addition of the half fairing and clip-on handlebars is one, but what really makes the bike stand out is the graphics. Fluorescent green stripes on the rims, fairings and tank have given it some eye-catching highlights. Overall, this one is the best example of neo-retro styling done right.

When it comes to modifications, in a lot of cases less is more. BAAK Motocyclettes, a French custom house has proven this repeatedly. Their Interceptor 650 Gallinella build is a good example of this.
The bike has seen some interesting changes such as the addition of new switch gear, an in-house built headlight and speedometer, along with a bathtub style fairing. What makes this build so unique is the usage of the unique bathtub-style fairing, something that we haven’t seen on bikes since the late 50s. The best part? Triumph Diabolus Scrambler
No discussion on bike modification is complete without the mention of scramblers. This year we saw many, but none stood out like this modified Triumph Scrambler 400 X from K-Speed.
The bike has undergone a lot of changes in terms of design and underpinnings. The new black paint scheme, beak-like fender along with new headlight and repositioned headlight section really makes the bike stand out.
To enhance its offroad capabilities, K-Speed has given it a new exhaust and off-road tyres. The parts used on this build can be purchased via K-Speed’s official website.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 Beach Tracker
If you are a fan of simple builds then this beach tracker from HardHeads MotoStudio. For this build, HardHeads has used some parts from BAAK, like their 3 button switchgear. This has given the modified Classic 350 a really simple and minimalist look.
What adds to the retro charm is the usage of a custom headlight and turn indicators. The simple look of the bike combined with the 3 colour pinstripe design makes it really stand out. Overall, this bike looks like the perfect one to take out to the beach.

Yes, I would recommend the Royal Enfield Classic 350, but not to everyone. If you love a strong road presence, classic looks, and a relaxed riding experience, this bike is worth it. It gives you confidence every time you ride, and after getting used to it, many other bikes feel less exciting. However, it's heavy, not very fuel-efficient, and the price is on the higher side.
