BREAKING: 2027 Honda CBR500R With An Inline-Four Engine Unveiled Internationally
With that engine, it could sound really sweet

Honda has unveiled a new middleweight sports bike, the CBR500R Four. What sets it apart from the other middleweight motorcycles is that it gets an inline four-cylinder engine. Here is everything you need to know about the bike:
Engine & Performance

The CBR500R Four is powered by an all-new 502 cc inline four-cylinder with a DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) setup. It produces 72.06 PS and 47.4 Nm, and the motor redlines at 12,500 rpm.
It is also equipped with Honda’s E-clutch technology as standard, which allows clutchless starts, stops and gear changes while maintaining manual control whenever needed. Honda has claimed the engine gets a broad usable performance power band, which gives the bike a sporty character while riding spiritedly.
Underpinnings

The bike gets an all-new steel diamond-style frame. It is suspended on a KYB inverted fork, and the rear is taken care of by a preload adjustable monoshock. Braking hardware includes a 296 mm twin-disc setup with 2-piston radial-mounted Nissin calipers at the front, and the rear gets a single-disc setup.
The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels at both ends. The seat height is accessible at 780 mm, and it has 135 mm of ground clearance. Its kerb weight is 189 kg.
Big Bike Looks & Features

The CBR500R Four takes a lot of design cues from its bigger siblings. It gets a sharp fascia, which brings out the sporty character of the bike.
The bike is available in 2 colour options: Ignition Red (Tricolour) and Mat Ballistic Black Metallic. The Ignition Red (Tricolour) shade comes in the iconic Honda red colour, which makes the bike look sportier. The Mat Ballistic Black Metallic shade will be appreciated by the people who prefer an understated colour, which is not flashy.

Features-wise the bike gets a 5-inch TFT display, which comes with Honda RoadSync that enables connectivity features such as Bluetooth, call/SMS alerts and navigation. The bike comes with a ride-by-wire throttle, which enables three ride modes and 2 customisable ones. These ride modes alter the power delivery and the output, according to the mode selected. It gets a USB-C charging port to charge your devices on the go. Also, it gets dual-channel ABS and traction control as standard.
BikeDekho Says
With this, the sub-500 cc segment has not looked more exciting than ever. The bike carries a price tag of GBP 6,999 (which is an equivalent of about Rs 8.85 lakh).
For reference, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R, which was discontinued not-so-long ago, was priced at Rs 9,40,000 (ex-showroom). The middleweight inline-four segment is niche. Honda may not bring the bike to our shores anytime soon, and even if it does, it could be in limited numbers and command quite a premium.
