All the bikes in this list got cheaper in September-end due to the new GST 2.0 norms
In the recently released SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) sales data for the month of September 2025, we saw some very interesting developments. Here’s a list of the top 5 best-selling bikes in India:

The Hero Splendor Plus has been the best-selling bike for more than two decades now. With its reliable engine, easy-to-ride character and good mileage, it has earned the trust of Indian buyers, with over 3,62,980 units sold in September 2025 alone. This is a 23.35% increase in Month-On-Month (MoM) sales numbers when compared to August 2025. This trend is also in line with the bike’s Year-On-Year (YoY) sales numbers, which increased by 3.83% when compared to September 2024. Last month-end, Hero reduced the Splendor’s price, passing on the reduced GST benefit to the customers. Here’s the full price list of all Hero commuter bikes.

One of the most reliable and time-tested 125cc motorcycles – the Honda Shine 125 managed to secure the second spot in this list. With over 1,56,613 units sold in September 2025, the bike’s MoM sales saw a 10.81% increase. Also, the YoY sales numbers have gone slightly up (2.04%). We do expect to see a steep increase in MoM sales in this month, due to the recent GST 2.0 price cuts and the festive Diwali rush.

The Hero HF Deluxe is essentially a Splendor Plus, but for even more budget-conscious buyers. It has the same engine, underpinnings and also the same chassis, but wrapped in different bodywork. Like the Splendor, it also witnessed a 31.50% increase in MoM sales, while the YoY sales, too, have increased by 3.70%.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125cc range consists of three bikes: The Bajaj Pulsar 125, the Bajaj Pulsar N125 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS125. All of these bikes have been known for being fuel efficient, reliable and also peppy and stylish. The 55.65% increase in MoM sales is quite healthy, while the YoY sales too have increased by 16.73% when compared to September 2024. Most of the Bajaj bikes in India got cheaper due to the new GST 2.0 regulations that came into effect on September 22. Additionally, there are Diwali offers on the Pulsar range too, valid till the end of this month.

The Bajaj Platina range beat the TVS Apache lineup to secure the spot as the fifth best-selling bike in India. The range includes two bikes – the Bajaj Platina 110 and the Bajaj Platina 100. These are one of the most beginner-friendly commuters and come with reliable and fuel-efficient engines.
This festive season, Bajaj sold over 62,260 units of the Platina range, which is a 59.19% increase in MoM sales when compared with August 2025. Even the YoY sales show a 25.08% increase. This makes Platina the biggest gainer both in terms of MoM and YoY sales in September.
