Suzuki Gixxer SF, SF 250 Reach Dealerships

Along with the 250cc bike, the new Gixxer SF has reached a couple of Suzuki dealerships across India

The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF 250 have reached a couple of dealerships across India. Customers can either book the bike for a token amount of Rs 5,000 or make the full payment and have the bike delivered the very next day. The 2019 Gixxer SF is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh while the Gixxer SF 250 retails at Rs 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The former is available in two shades - gloss silver and black - while the latter is offered in two matte colours - black and silver. 

Both bikes share the exact same design but differ in terms of mechanicals. For instance, both the 2019 Gixxer SF and the Gixxer SF 250 are fully faired bikes which feature LED lights at both ends, a new digital instrument console, split seats and clip-on handlebars. Over and above this, the Gixxer SF 250 gets premium diamond-cut alloy wheels, negative display, a wider 150-section rear tyre and dual-channel ABS.

Powering the elding sibling is a new 249cc, single-cylinder engine featuring a unique oil-cooling system. It pumps out 26.5PS of power and a peak torque of 22.6Nm mated to a 6-speed transmission. On the other hand, the Gixxer SF borrows its 154.9cc, single-cylinder engine from the previous-gen Gixxer SF-FI. However, the motor now produces 14.1PS at 8000rpm (down by 0.7PS) and 14Nm at 6000rpm. The engine comes paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

In terms of competition, the smaller Gixxer SF goes up against the Hero Xtreme 200S while the Gixxer SF 250 takes on the likes of the Yamaha Fazer 25 and the Honda CBR250R.
