Honda ADV 160
The Honda ADV 160 gets rugged styling, with a fascia that looks inspired by adventure motorcycles. The maxi-scooter gets an aggressive front end with a sleek dual-LED headlight setup. The scooter also gets block-pattern tyres, making the overall design look adventure-ready.
Powering the ADV 160 is a 156.93cc liquid-cooled engine. It is also the first scooter in India which is E85-compliant. While Honda hasn’t revealed the specifications of the India-spec scooter, internationally, the scooter produces 16.3 PS and 14.9 Nm and is paired to a CVT gearbox. The scooter is suspended on a telescopic fork and twin rear shock absorbers. It rolls on 14-inch and 13-inch wheels at the front and rear, respectively.
The ADV 160 gets a strong feature list. It gets a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync, which features turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity and call/SMS alerts. On the safety front, the scooter is equipped with traction control and single-channel ABS as standard.
Hero Xoom 160
The Hero Xoom 160 gets a similar design language as the ADV 160. It gets a large front end, a large windscreen and beefy side panels, which make the scooter stand out. The scooter gets a centre tunnel on the footboard, which houses the fuel tank. At the rear, it gets a sleek LED taillight, which goes well with the overall design.
The Xoom is powered by a 156cc liquid-cooled engine. It produces 14.6 PS and 14 Nm, which is 1.7 PS less and 0.9 Nm less than the Honda scooter. The scooter gets a telescopic fork, while the rear is taken care of by dual shock absorbers.
Feature-wise, the Xoom 160 gets an LCD console and turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter misses out on all-LED lighting and gets bulb-type indicators. On the safety front, the scooter gets single-channel ABS as standard but misses out on traction control.

BikeDekho Says
If you want a feature-rich package with a powerful engine, the Honda ADV 160 is the way to go. Sure, it is also the more expensive proposition, but you do get the tag of “Japanese reliability’ with the scooter. Also, the fact that it is flex-fuel compliant makes it future-proof. Hero Xoom 160 makes a good proposition if you want a rugged-looking scooter and are willing to make compromises on the feature front. The Xoom 160 is also Rs 26,502 cheaper, making it a better option if you’re on a budget.
Another scooter the ADV 160 goes up against is the Yamaha Aerox 155, and we have compared them as well.

I driven this scooter in Thailand. I wish it would be the same when it comes to India, mostly they reduce the power and might make it slow, but I'm still waiting for it. Its like a bike that's all it matters to me. I might tuned it though and might change alot of parts so it operates max with its power.Read More
