The Honda Activa 110 has become a household name in Indian households over the years, for when it came out, it was a smooth, well-made and value for money scooter. That said, over the years, the Honda scooter has received quite some price updates and as it stands in 2026, some might say it’s a bit pricey for what is a very simple scooter. 

And if you feel that way too, here are 5 bikes and scooters you could consider buying instead of the Activa 110:

TVS Jupiter 110 - Rs 74,125 onwards

The most affordable two-wheeler on this list is the TVS Jupiter 110. The TVS Jupiter is the Activa’s direct competitor, and it’s a scooter most of us at BikeDekho absolutely love. The Jupiter has an excellent engine, is smooth, has a lot of features and looks a lot more premium than the Activa while still being a design language that the older members in the family would like.

It’s our favourite scooter in its segment, and if you want something that just feels a lot more modern and contemporary than the slightly dated-feeling Activa, the Jupiter 110 is an excellent scooter. 

Suzuki Access 125 - Rs 82,185 onwards 

After our favourite 110cc scooter, we move onto one of our favourite 125cc scooters. The Suzuki Access 125 hits a balance between sportiness and practicality like not many other scooters can. Its engine is peppy and you can genuinely have fun on it especially when cutting through tight spots in heavy traffic. 

But that’s for the younger folks in the house. When the others want to ride it in a more chilled out manner, the Access 125 is more than up for it too. The suspension is comfortable enough while with its boot and floorboard, there’s enough space for you to be able to store most items on your grocery runs. So if you want a scooter that has a bigger engine and feels more youthful than the Activa, the Access 125 is a great choice. 

Honda Shine 125 - Rs 82,722 onwards

If you like the Activa’s formula, you might like the Shine 125 as well. By that, we mean that the Activa 110 is a scooter with a smooth engine, reasonably good looks and on the whole, makes for a safe purchase, something you can’t really go wrong with. 

And the Shine 125 is similar to that. It’s also a smooth bike and is basically a formula that has worked for years now, for the Shine’s the best selling bike in the 125cc space. So if you like the Activa’s appeal and want it in a more premium-feeling, bigger-engined format, you should definitely think about the Shine 125. 

Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 - Rs 83,414

Next, we come onto what is the most legendary bike in this list. The Hero Splendor Plus needs no introduction and the Splendor Plus Xtec 2.0 variant costs just a bit more than the Activa 110’s top variant. And for that, you get a bulletproof reliable bike, one that’s extremely fuel efficient and can honestly be quite a hoot to ride in the city, because of how light and nimble it feels. 

If you want something that’s frugal, easy to ride and cheap to maintain, there’s nothing that beats the Hero Splendor Plus, and the Xtec 2.0 variant adds a bit of modernity to it by giving it a whole bunch of features. 

TVS Raider 125 - Rs 83,910 onwards

And now we come onto the most fun bike in this segment. The TVS Raider 125 showed us that 125cc bikes can be a lot of fun too and about 5 years after its launch, the Raider 125 is still the best all-round bike in its segment. It’s hands down our favourite 125cc bike and if you want to break away from the old-school Activa and want something that’s genuinely fun, spend a bit more than the Activa 110’s top variant and get home the TVS Raider 125.
