Demands a premium of Rs 5,000 over the standard model

  • Gets Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X.
  • Features a new seat and dedicated livery.
  • No mechanical updates.

It’s been over a decade since the FZ debuted in India, and now Yamaha has introduced the FZ S FI Vintage Edition. Contrary to its name, the bike gets modern features such as the new Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X Bluetooth connectivity feature, introduced with the FZ S FI Dark Knight in October this year.

For the Vintage Edition, Yamaha has gone old school, with a tan-coloured leather-finish single seat unit. Complementing the new seat is the new green paint job and livery exclusive to this variant.

No mechanical changes have been made to the bike. It continues to use the same 2-valve, 149cc engine producing 12.4PS and 13.6Nm. It also retains the same brake setup, aided by single-channel ABS.

The FZ S FI Vintage Edition has been priced at Rs 1,09,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is already available at all dealerships. This bike demands a premium of Rs 5,000 over the standard model. However, if only the Bluetooth connectivity has caught your fancy, you can save Rs 2,000 and go for the Dark Knight Edition instead.
