Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 India Launch Timeline Confirmed

Apart from the C6, the S6 scrambler’s launch timeline has been confirmed, along with production expansion

[The Royal Enfield Flying Flea has been launched]

Royal Enfield’s electric roadmap is now clearer than ever. During the company’s Q3 conference call, CEO Mr B Govindarajan shared crucial details about the launch timeline of the upcoming Flying Flea range in India.

Speaking about the C6, Govindarajan said the motorcycle “Is almost ready for production”. That signals that the bike is in its final stages before hitting showrooms. However, Royal Enfield is not looking at this as just another product launch. The CEO emphasised that the company is not planning to merely introduce a motorcycle but to build an entirely new category around the Flying Flea brand - which makes sense as the Flying Flea is essentially Royal Enfield’s sub-brand for all things electric.

India Launch Likely In April 2026

On the timeline, Govindarajan stated, “You will see in the next quarter time window.” This strongly suggests that the Flying Flea C6 will be launched in India in April 2026.

The CEO also said, “.....We will build it slowly and steadily…” This means Royal Enfield has made it clear that it wants to take things slowly with its electric portfolio. We expect the C6 to debut in a phased manner — likely starting with Chennai and Bengaluru, followed by Mumbai and perhaps, then Delhi. This approach will allow the brand to streamline operations including service competence, and customer experience before scaling up.

Expect the Flying Flea C6’s price to be around or perhaps just a little under Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom). It will not be an out-an-out commuter bike, but rather an eco-friendly, lifestyle heritage motorcycle that’s designed to draw attention.

Flying Flea S6 To Arrive Around EICMA

As for the second model, Govindarajan confirmed, “S6 will come at during the course of the year, around the time of EICMA”. This points towards an India launch around November 2026, later followed by exports. When the Flying Flea S6 arrives in India, it could benefit from wider availability right from launch, building on the C6’s initial rollout.

The Flying Flea S6 might cost around Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It will not be a hardcore scrambler as such, but will be designed to handle all sorts of bad roads within the city limits. There won’t be any natural rivals for both bikes, but further up the price ladder is the Ultraviolette bike range.

Production Capacity Gets A Big Boost

Supporting this EV push (and also building a stronger petrol-powered bike manufacturing capability) is a major manufacturing plant expansion. Eicher Motors (Royal Enfield’s parent company) has approved a Rs 958 crore investment to ramp up production at Royal Enfield’s facility in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu. Annual capacity will increase from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units — a 37 percent jump.

Apart from 350, 450 and 650cc bikes, the Flying Flea range will also be produced at this plant. With capacity expanding and its first electric model nearly ready, Royal Enfield seems to be prepared for the next financial year, including the surge in demand during the festive season. Here are all the Royal Enfield bikes expected to launch in India in 2026.
