Royal Enfield has unveiled special editions of the Classic 650 and the Shotgun 650 at Motoverse 2025. Both the bikes feature some cosmetic changes that make them feel more premium compared to the standard lineup. Here’s everything you need to know:
Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 125th Anniversary Edition was unveiled at EICMA 2025, and we had covered the highlights in images.
This edition commemorates the brand’s 125th anniversary since the first Royal Enfield bike rolled off the production line in 1901. It features a special 'hypershift' paint scheme featuring a red and gold colour contrast. The paint scheme is pretty special as it changes its shade depending on the lighting and the angle you’re looking from.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Rough Crafts Edition
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Rough Crafts Edition is limited to 100 units globally, and was made in collaboration with the Rough Crafts, a Taiwan based custom house. The bike was unveiled at EICMA 2025, and the brand has brought the bike to India at Motoverse 2025.
This special edition features dark black and light black colour contrast on the tank and side panels, with elegant gold leaf stripe detailing throughout. This is combined with a beautiful metallic badging on the tank with Royal Enfield and Rough Craft’s logos combined into one.
Other premium bits include a quilted leather seat, and gold finish on the lower fork arm. Overall, this special edition is the most beautiful-looking factory custom version of the Shotgun 650 we’ve seen so far.
What Remains Unchanged?
Other than the cosmetic changes, both the models are still the same in terms of performance. Both are powered by the same 649cc, air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine which produces 47PS and 52.3Nm. We expect both models to be launched later in 2026, and both will command a significant premium (probably around Rs 30,000) compared to the standard counterparts. For reference, the current top-end of the Classic 650 costs Rs 3,75,497 (ex-showroom, Chennai).
