    Quick Highlights:

    • Kawasaki Z650 S, Z900 and Z900 SE get new colours in Europe

    • The bikes remain mechanically unchanged

    • No confirmation on whether these colours will come to India

Kawasaki has given its Z series of bikes new colour options for the 2027 model year in Europe. The Z650 S, Z900 and Z900 SE get new colours, which look a lot sportier than the simple shades offered previously. Here’s a closer look.

    Kawasaki Z650 S

The Kawasaki Z650 S gets three new colours for 2027: Ebony / Metallic Carbon Grey, Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Carbon Grey and Pearl Blizzard White / Candy Lime Green.

The Ebony / Metallic Carbon Grey is the most understated of the three, with an all-black finish on the bodywork, frame and wheels. It is perfect for riders who prefer a stealthy look and do not want a lot of attention.

The Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Carbon Grey is the sportiest option, with red tank shrouds and side panels along with contrasting black bodywork. It also gets red graphics on the wheels that further add to its aggressive look.

The Pearl Blizzard White / Candy Lime Green gives the Z650 S a more premium appearance. It gets white body panels along with a green frame, front fender, and graphics, making it the most eye-catching colour of the three.

While India does get the regular Z650, we miss out on the S variant, which has a more committed riding position (thanks to the lower-placed handlebar), sharper styling, and a quickshifter as standard.

    Z900 And Z900 SE

The Z900 also gets three new colours for 2027: Ebony / Metallic Carbon Grey, Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Carbon Grey and Pearl Blizzard White / Plasma Lime Green.

The Z900SE also comes in a Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray / Metallic Matte Carbon Gray colour scheme.

The Ebony / Metallic Carbon Grey gets a stealthy all-black finish on the bodywork, frame and wheels. It is the most subtle-looking option and will appeal to riders who prefer a cleaner design.

The Candy Persimmon Red / Metallic Carbon Grey gets red tank shrouds and side panels that look quite eye-catching, and it also gets red graphics on the wheel similar to the Z650S.

The Z900 SE gets a Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray / Metallic Matte Carbon Gray colour scheme. It features a green frame and wheels, a golden-coloured inverted fork and grey body panels, giving it a more aggressive appearance. This is the only colour option available for the Z900 SE.

    Underpinnings

The bikes remain mechanically unchanged for 2027. The Z650 S continues to get the same 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 64 PS and 68 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a bidirectional quickshifter.

The Z900 and Z900 SE continue to get the 948cc inline four-cylinder engine, which produces 124 PS and 97.4 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and bidirectional quickshifter.

The suspension, braking hardware and feature list on the bikes also remain unchanged.

    BikeDekho Says

The new colours give Kawasaki’s Z series a much sportier and youthful look. The Z900 SE’s colour scheme in particular looks quite striking. However, the bikes remain mechanically unchanged, and we would have liked Kawasaki to add some new features or updates to the underpinnings for 2027.

Kawasaki has not confirmed if these colours will make their way to India. So, if you are planning to buy a Kawasaki bike, you will still get the older colours in the Kawasaki India catalogue.

      Superb bikeeeeee
Purchasing and filling up required documents was smooth. I will honestly say that z900 riding on road is very comfortable and the looks are on another level plus the performance of z900 is top notch. After riding it for a while, I will say that z900 is not made for beginners, cause the power is top notch.
