Harley-Davidson X440 T vs X 350: Picture Perfect Aesthetics

Harley-Davidson has expanded its India portfolio with the launch of the X440 T, priced at Rs 2,79,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). With sharper styling cues and a more athletic stance than the standard X440, the T variant is clearly aimed at buyers who want their first Harley to look the part. But how does it stack up against Harley’s other modern roadster, the X 350, when it comes to sheer visual appeal? Let’s break it down:

From the front, the X440 T carries forward the familiar Harley silhouette — a circular LED headlight paired with a subtle cowl that adds a hint of aggression. The wide handlebar and bar-end mirrors play a big role in giving the bike a broader, more planted stance, making it look noticeably sportier than the regular X440.

The Harley-Davidson X 350, on the other hand, feels more compact and tightly packaged. The muscular fuel tank, twin petal discs and the classic Harley round LED headlight give it a bold, contemporary look. Unlike the X440 T’s chunkier proportions, the X 350 looks sharper and more agile, with a design that leans towards flat-track inspiration rather than old-school roadster charm.

Moving to the consoles, the X440 T’s TFT display keeps things clean and uncluttered while still offering essential modern features like turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone alerts. The X 350 counters this with a single-pod instrument cluster that sticks closely to Harley’s retro ethos. It’s simpler in appearance and functionality, but it suits the bike’s stripped-back, sporty character well.

Both motorcycles wear tasteful and similar-looking tank graphics, but their design philosophies differ. The Harley-Davidson X440 T gets a colour-matched fuel tank, side and rear panels, depending on the shade you choose, helping it look more cohesive. The X 350’s design is simpler, relying on sharp body lines, compact proportions and bold colour options to make its presence felt. The round rear-view mirrors and a clean side profile further enhance its neo-retro vibe.

At the engine bay, both bikes aim for a retro aesthetic despite their modern underpinnings. The X440 T’s air-oil-cooled single looks intentionally bulky, adding to the bike’s muscular appeal, though the large exhaust heat shield still draws a fair bit of attention. The X 350, meanwhile, looks tighter and more athletic; its liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine gets neatly executed details that complement its sporty intent and flat-tracker-inspired stance.

At the rear, the differences become even clearer. The X440 T’s tail section is longer and draws inspiration from Harley’s iconic XR1200. It neatly integrates the taillight and adds character to the bike’s overall silhouette. The X 350, by comparison, keeps things short and sharp, doubling down on its aggressive roadster personality.

As for the specs, there are a lot of differences between the two. 

If your heart says classic Harley with muscle and presence, the X440 T delivers that in spades. But if you prefer a cleaner, more aggressive and contemporary Harley silhouette, the X 350 makes a very compelling case but sadly, is not on sale in India.
