All Hero MotoCorp Bikes Could Be E85-Compliant Soon

After the recent launch of the Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel and the Splendor Flex Fuel, the brand is planning to launch E85-compliant variants of all its bikes and scooters. At the launch of the flex fuel bikes, Hero MotoCorp CEO Harshavardhan Chitale has stated that the brand is ready to launch flex fuel variants of all its two-wheelers.

Just like the two flex fuel bikes, the upcoming models should be sold alongside the E20-compatible variants. However, it also depends on how the E85 infrastructure is rolled out in the country.

E85 Conversion Kits

Apart from this, the brand is also working on E85 conversion kits for BS6 E20-compatible vehicles to make them future-proof. The kits would require recalibration of the ECU, along with upgrades to the fuel lines and the fuel filter. That said, the launch timeline and the pricing of the kits are yet to be officially announced.

As more models join in the future, Hero will solidify its position as a leading manufacturer adopting this new fuel technology. Not only that, the retrofit kits will allow the existing E20-compatible bikes to be used with newer fuel.
