Yezdi has launched the 2025 version of the Roadster - marking the first major update for the bike since its debut. The refresh brings updated styling, updates to the engine and feature additions.

Price

The price for the base model of the 2025 Yezdi Roadster has gone down by Rs 819 while the price of the top variant has gone up by Rs 5,796 when compared to the previous-generation version. Here’s a colour-wise price breakdown:

Design

The 2025 Yezdi Roadster gets a more muscular stance with a revised tank, tail section, new wheel design, an option to choose between a more upright or a lower and wider handlebar (only in the top-end variant). The taillight and turn indicators are integrated into the rear fender. Interestingly, on the top-spec Shadow black colour variant the indicators can also function as a tail light, just like how it is on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

Engine

It uses the same and updated 334cc, liquid-cooled ‘Alpha 2’ engine producing 29.1PS and 29.62Nm at 6,000rpm as other Yezdi Bikes, and the claimed mileage is 29.06kmpl. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, and the rear sprocket has gone up from 45 to 47 teeth - to compensate for the different profile rear tyre.

Underpinnings

The chassis of the Yezdi Roadster remains the same as before, with the front and rear suspension being retuned - both with better damping. It gets a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Tyre and wheel sizes are 100-section, 18-inch at the front, and a 150-section (20mm more than before), 17-inch at the rear. The kerb weight is the same as before at 194kg, seat height is up by 5mm to 795mm, and ground clearance is 171mm - decent for a bike of its genre.

Features

It gets a LCD console whose angle is adjustable, and modular seating (switchable between single and dual seats) are part of the package, and a USB charging port is available as an accessory. 

Accessories

Buyers of the new bike will be able to choose between 2 handlebars: a standard curved one or a wider, straight one (standard on the Shadow Black variant). There’s also either a short or a tall touring visor, and a headlight cowl as well. A twin-rod crash guard with sliders at the end is also available. Solo rider and pillion backrests, rear racks, and multi-functional blinkers (the ones seen on the Shadow black) are also being offered.

Warranty

Yezdi is also offering a 4-year/50,000-km (whichever comes first) warranty, along with 1 year of roadside assistance as standard. You also have the option to go for the 6-year extended warranty for an extra charge, of course. 

Rivals

The 2025 Yezdi Roadster competes with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. Another 350cc retro alternative is the Honda CB350 / H’ness. That said, the Roadster is the only bike among these to have a more modern liquid-cooled engine, that too with a 6-speed gearbox.

With styling changes, an updated engine, and small but useful feature tweaks, the 2025 Yezdi Roadster aims to stay relevant in the cruiser segment. That said, this update isn’t as massive as how Royal Enfield moved from the Thunderbird to the Meteor 350. It’s more like a steady growth rather than a radical change.

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350, backed by the brand's over half-a-century of experience, has been raking in healthy numbers in the country. On the other hand, the Yezdi is a relatively newer brand, and it has a long way to go in terms of sales and service reach. That said, the brand has been taking extra efforts to streamline its service and dealer reach, and with the launch of the updated Roadster, Yezdi seems to be heading in the right direction.
